Pretty good. Didn't finish it on PS4 but I will on PC. It's very much an open world Ubilike so you have to like those types of games.

pirate it
Have it on PS4 - it's reasonably good. Like Oyster Sauce said, it draws heavy inspiration from AssCreed and the like, but the combat can actually be challenging.
Very good art direction as well.

I am surrounded by snoys
I need something to play Bloodborne on.
I'm downloading it now. Will post about it over the weekend if I get around to it. I recently started another game that I should probably beat first

I mean, they both fill different needs, but Shigatari is a hidden gem. To bad the dev fell off the face of the earth.

it is for me then, unless they explain why exactly that is a thing (I recall reading somewhere there were instances of women warriors in real-life, but it should be rare).rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 17th, 2024, 08:16main critique I have so far is there's way too many STRONK WARRIOR WOMYN

The boss fights are pretty fun, closest thing I've played to feeling like an actual samurai duel from the old samurai movies

Is this a "one is too many thing" because I only recall three (plus the granny in the DLC) and one is an antagonist.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 17th, 2024, 08:16main critique I have so far is there's way too many STRONK WARRIOR WOMYN

There's an entire clan made up of female samurai.Roguey wrote: ↑ May 17th, 2024, 11:35Is this a "one is too many thing" because I only recall three (plus the granny in the DLC) and one is an antagonist.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 17th, 2024, 08:16main critique I have so far is there's way too many STRONK WARRIOR WOMYN

Played it enough to get a feel for it, going to put it aside for now. Only gripe is, again, the female samurai.
There's nothing groundbreaking or new here, it's just a well executed game made by people who don't hate their target audience. It's the Samurai movie equivalent of what I wish RDR2 was actually like, rather than being about a redditor.

Just did a mission that involved tracking someone down via their horse's tracks. Instead of activating Samurai Mode or having a glowing trail I had to... look at the hoof prints on the ground and follow them.

There's plenty of reddit later on.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 17th, 2024, 23:22Played it enough to get a feel for it, going to put it aside for now. Only gripe is, again, the female samurai.

Just unlocked Samurai Vision. I'm not complimenting this game anymore, it keeps coming back to bite me.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ May 18th, 2024, 00:21Just did a mission that involved tracking someone down via their horse's tracks. It doesn't highlight anything like that, it's for hearing things. You have to actually follow the tracks yourself.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ May 18th, 2024, 02:43Just unlocked Samurai Vision. It's moreso the on demand wallhack that I dislike in stealth gamesrusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 18th, 2024, 07:01It doesn't highlight anything like that, it's for hearing things. You dishonor family!
Stealth is actually the easier route, especially when you have to start saving hostages. The game pushes you heavily towards trying to be dishonorable.
