Now you can play MGS1 Master Collection version in better resolution without lots of bugs. (Apparently, I haven't tested it yet.)

Looks like they successfully fixed the under water bug from the previous version of the mod. The last version made it all buggy if you played at non-standard aspect ratio.


And here's a nice 21:9 shot (Yeah, the UI gets stretched, but it's a small price to pay.)

This is nice. I’m glad they reverted back to the blurred Johnny butt from the Western release. The Master Collection had changed it to the Japanese version where he’s wearing underpants. Sure, it makes more sense that Meryl wouldn’t take his underpants, but I always liked the comedic shock value of the blurred butt from the Western version. It’s how I remembered it when I was younger.

They also brought back the red cross for the medicine icon. Apparently, it had been changed due to trademark infringement or something like that. This version fixes that, which is great.

One advantage playing on an emulator still has over this one is the ability to remove the “PS1 wobble.” It’s still present here. It would be nice if they could fix that too, but I’m not holding my breath. Honestly, though, it doesn’t bother me that much.
