One guy from CDPR dared to say something but was quickly forced to shut the fuck up and apologise.

I just assume any developer not supporting an issue opposes it at this point. They know if they speak out against it they'll lose their job.

Mark Kern aka Grummz speculated that Kalisz was bullied into posting the apology. He wrote on X, “Senior Lead 3D weapons artist at CD Projekt Red get bullied into changing his stance on Assassin’s Creed.

Grummz added, “The dev pressure out there to conform is immense, and if you don’t play ball, you will get pushed out. Nobody in AAA gaming is free to speak. I have so many friends and contact who tell me they will lose their jobs if they say anything.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Fukuda_Bay
The Battle of Fukuda Bay (福田浦の戦い, Fukudaura no tatakai) in 1565 was the first recorded naval battle between Europeans (the Portuguese) and the Japanese.[2] A flotilla of samurai under the daimyō Matsura Takanobu attacked two Portuguese trade vessels that had shunned Matsura's port in Hirado and had gone instead to trade at Fukuda (now within Nagasaki), a port belonging to the rival Ōmura Sumitada. The engagement was part of a process of trial and error by the Portuguese traders to find a safe harbour for their carracks in Japan that eventually brought them to Nagasaki.

European swords were banned in Japan because Portuguese kept cutting up japs in duels. The only recorded loss was to a drunk Portuguese, he was avenged the next morning.

Asscreed combat where you just hold down the attack button to delete everyone would be historically accurate

I remember watching my brother play Ass ass in creed's 2 (the one in Italy) and there were 8 enemies in a circle and my brother was killing them one by one, the rest waiting for their turn.
Retarded series (even discounting the even more retarded writing).

My only real gripe with Yasuke is that he will be one of the playable characters. I wouldn't have minded him as an ally to other female ninja protagonist, like how Yusuf and da Vinci were allies to Ezio.

ah the good old ubisoft "romance", when you finish the quest the npc completely ignores you and you cant even interact with them anymore...dont know why they dont just remove that shit from the game, its more embarrassing than the same movable shelf puzzle they used in like last 5 titles

Each day I hope more and more for a video game crash. All AAA studios must go bankrupt. They are too infected with neo marxism virus to be saved.

He wasn't a 小姓 koshō. Koshō had to be well educated, cultured, and skilled in martial arts; Yasuke, who never mastered Japanese and served Nobunaga for a grand total of fourteen months, could not have been. Furthermore, koshō were expected to fight to the death to protect their lord; Yasuke, who surrendered upon polite request, did not. Koshō belonged to the warrior class, and therefore had surnames; there is no record of Yasuke being granted a Japanese surname.

There is no evidence either way concerning whether Yasuke was an object of Nobunaga's sodomic advances. It is possible that Nobunaga buckbroke him. That still wouldn't have made him a koshō.
