So basically, I did further research on the subject of loli and have discovered that loli and bestiality porn are both illegal in the US. While bestiality porn is TECHNICALLY not illegal in the US on a federal level, only four states do not have a law prohibiting it. So unless the RPG HQ servers are located somewhere in Hawaii, New Mexico, West Virginia, or Wyoming, it is best not to host any zoophiliac content. The only exception to this rule is the so-called "Miller Test". Basically, it comes from a court case called "Miller v. California" in which a man selling porn was tried for obscenity. The case ended with the US Supreme Court deciding to adopt a new measurement for what is considered obscene in the US:

1. whether the average person, applying contemporary "community standards," would find that the work, taken as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest;

2. whether the work depicts or describes, in an offensive way, sexual conduct or excretory functions, as specifically defined by applicable state law (the syllabus of the case mentions only sexual conduct, but excretory functions are explicitly mentioned on page 25 of the majority opinion); and

3. whether the work, taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.

All three of these rules must be met in order to legally distribute loli and/or bestiality and not break any obscenity laws. In my opinion, no loli and no bestiality mods should be allowed on HQ Mods regardless of whether they pass this test or not, unless you wanna go to court and argue whether or not something passes the Miller Test every time one of these mods runs afoul of some legislator or official.
Yeah, that's all degenerate garbage. Rusty shouldn't allow it for prophylactic reasons as well. He needs to ensure that his game is 100% clean for when they come for this place, and they will.

I thought we were going to stay away from degenerate stuff, and extreme realistic gore/ pictures of dead military. I guess we're going to have to talk about each instance of this crap, when need arises.

Yes, iirc, they used something similar to try to throw "Max Hardcore" (aka Paul Little), an old porno producer, in prison. At first they tried him in Cali because he filmed himself having sex with adult women who acted young. They actually tried to charge him with CP too, but that didn't stick from the start, and the obscenity charge didn't stick because the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional, as everyone in Hollywood would no longer be able to have older actors playing minors.

They finally got him on an obscenity charge in Florida just because some publisher was distributing videos involving fisting, urination and vomiting via the mail. He did 46 months in prison and lost his website, but the court had tried to take his house too.

I don't know who the guy pissed off, but someone really didn't like him.

Interestingly, the case really showed how laughable a trial by jury can be. Apparently, several jurors stuck to their guilty verdict and everyone else just caved in order to end the trial, even though they didn't want to find him guilty at first due to the First Amendment. "We tried and we tried and we tried, but we just couldn't get through to those others. They just beat on us and beat on us and beat on us until we gave in." one juror, a woman, said.

Your rights in the hands of the general public.

Except they won't, and the obscenity laws will probably just be turned on Christians for owning Bibles or whatever.

The guy got put in jail for "community standards" of obscenity. Look at the community in most western nations today. I'm surprised we've held onto as many rights as we have.

A law, or any weapon, is only a protection when it's in the hands of trustworthy people. The more untrustworthy the people, the worse an abuseable law can be.

No, that's not what I said. I said that society is going to allow porn. It already does allow it.

What they're not going to allow is for you to preach the verses in the Bible that call for the stoning of gays and men who wear women's clothing. They already arrest people for it in the UK and in parts of Europe.

The idea that we're going to suddenly snap back to real conservatism from where we are right now is a fantasy. You need to fix the society before you start letting the government enforce speech laws, or you'll be the one censored.

Liberals understood this. That's why they pushed for free speech right up until they solidified their hold over culture and the government. Now they call for censorship anywhere they can.

The idea that censorship = good is cargo cult. What matters is who is censoring and what they're censoring. In this one case, it worked against someone you don't like. But that same case could be used as precedent against someone you do like later.

Not worth it if it just censors some old pervert who ended up dying a few years later anyway.

This, btw, is how the UK lost a lot of their rights. Hate speech laws there were initially sold as stopping Muslims from preaching terrorism. They also sold mandatory ID online as a means of protecting kids from porn.

It's not a victory though. No one uses the mail to ship porn DVDs. That's what he was convicted for. And he didn't even do that, a publisher did.

But the decision that one community's idea of obscenity can get you prosecuted when you live and produce content elsewhere is something that can be used in future cases.

We lost rights for something that no longer applies in the modern world, and barely applied then.

Conservatards will kvetch and moan when a person gets banned from Twitter because they called someone a stupid nigger (no, I'm not saying that all, or even most, conservatives are racist, I'm saying that they would absolutely defend a person who did this on the free speech grounds), but they will use every tool disposable to them to stop other people from cooming at porn.

They know very well that any restriction on speech that doesn't harm anyone will almost certainly be used against them in the future, but they don't care. It's totally different when they support censorship because they are actually, totally, 100% right, unlike those other people who are actually, totally, 100% percent wrong.

I know that porn, and many other things on the internet, can be harmful when consumed in excessive amounts, but I'm not gonna play an e-parent and use the legal system to tell them what they can or can't watch. This is why I consider myself a national liberal and not a conservative.

And I would be ok with this, if so-called conservatives were actually in power and had a stranglehold on culture and politics, but they don't have anything close to that.

If you want to take over the country and implement your laws, ok. Do it. But they don't want to wait. They want the dopamine rush of banning the things, even when they know it could be just a smokescreen for screwing them over later.

It's the shortsightedness that I have a problem with more than anything.

Besides, I'm sure the world's doing absolutely fine when pornographic material is available on mobile phones in the hands of children, right?

Abrahamic religions are simply too retarded to be taken seriously, so if I was to become religious, I would probably go for something like Zoroastrianism. At least I can get behind the message there. Also, it's a Troo Aryan Religion™

As for porn on children's phones, that's no different than a gun control argument that, because someone somewhere committed a crime using a gun, no one should be allowed to own them. The parents are responsible for what their children watch on their phones, not the government.

Although truth be told, I see nothing wrong with those new laws that require people to provide ID before accessing adult websites. You would need one to access an adult store so this shouldn't be different.

Jack Thompson also wanted to do this with violent video games, but people started chimping out at him as if he wanted to ban violent video games completely. Although he did act like a retard in courtrooms, so he deserved to get disbarred.

I'm not attacking anything in particular. I was just attacking his position that is better to be lustful, than to be chaste. And I did it specifically through the children, on a broad metric, so that he doesn't have any recourse but to keep his arguments broad. No way out.

I'm a terrible debater, but even I know not to get personal, and to keep my points simple. :)

What adult people do on the internet is nobody's business.

And I never said that we shouldn't defend it. I mean Twitter is a private company and all that, but free speech is not just a law, it's a philosophy. One that we should all subscribe to.

That position sounds very nice and libertarian, until your space gets invaded, because "everyone should, like... do whatever they want, man". And then before you realize it, it's too late.

I recommend inspecting RPG Codex as an example of a lulbertarian place overrun by the alphabet mob.

The common consensus where I live (Serbia) is, as far as I know, that what people do in the privacy of their own homes is nobody's business, that marriage is supposed to produce children, and that the only effect pride parades have is that they fuck up the Sunday traffic once a year.
