Crackdown (2007) is underrated.
Serbian cinema is by and large awful. The nation with the best films, after America, is Russia.
Subversive storytelling in the vein of Dark Souls can never be good, since it's founded on gnawing at the ankle of someone else's mythos rather than making your own.
Leviathan (2014) is an overrated film, and it's beneath Zviyagintsev's talents.
Red Alert 3 has the best voice acting and the best-executed campy tone out of any video game.
People obsessing over japanese female singers like babymetal are massive cucks, especially if the singers in question do aggressive music like rap or metal.
More on that note, ''action girls'' are cringe.

I don't have a strong view on CRTs.

CRT's have a more correct color representation but if you don't care about that not having your eyes burned out by X-rays is preferable. Also, wide screen monitors.

I prefer The Hobbit to The Lord of the Rings. While I did like LotR's meditations on the decline of the world and spiritual warfare, I found the Hobbit to be more simply entertaining to read. It's shorter and more of the book is devoted to adventures. You still have a little bit of gravitas in there at the end when they're about to murder each other over gold, and Thorin forgiving Bilbo. I am still ambivalent about Bilbo's betrayal. I also preferred The Chronicles of Narnia for similar reasons. Narnia with lots of talking animals and centaurs and so on is also a much more likeable place to spend a lot of time in than the mostly ruined Middle-Earth.

That's like telling someone that prefers KoF to SF 'lmao it's because you cannot perform hadouken'. You should reflect upon your words.revenant wrote: ↑ August 15th, 2023, 07:26And this is how you immediately spot a pleb who does not even know what strafe running is.
There were CRTs with high refresh rate, yes if you have a large CRT at 60hz that's going to flicker. Cheap ones from the late 80s/early 90s were flickery.Decline wrote: ↑ August 15th, 2023, 03:28It depends what is more important to you:Atlantico wrote: ↑ August 14th, 2023, 21:04Not for people in the know, but it is for normiesGhostCow wrote: ↑ August 14th, 2023, 17:33

120Hz CRTs were quite normal in the early 2000s. Could even go higher and at 120Hz there's no flickering.
X-rays have literally no effect on eyes.revenant wrote: ↑ August 15th, 2023, 06:05CRT's have a more correct color representation but if you don't care about that not having your eyes burned out by X-rays is preferable. Also, wide screen monitors.

Unreal is dead and proprietary, while Quake's code is Free Software and still running strong to this day.

Controversial opinion to Codexers/HQers isn't the topic, dumbass.Vlajdimir Ermenović wrote: ↑ August 16th, 2023, 06:36Controversial among normies isn't controversial. Try again.

When someone asks for controversial/unpopular opinions, it goes without saying that he means controversial in the given group. By your logic, every opinion that's popular here would be fair game.Goth-Girl-Supremacy wrote: ↑ August 16th, 2023, 06:56Controversial opinion to Codexers/HQers isn't the topic, dumbass.Vlajdimir Ermenović wrote: ↑ August 16th, 2023, 06:36Controversial among normies isn't controversial.
