Is that new Sonic game any good? The most recent one i mean. Frontier it's called.

If you don't think about what's happening on the screen, it'll do. The main thing is not to think about why everything looks the way it does and not to look for meaning in platform elements hanging in the air. Just enjoy the opportunity for high-speed platforming, no matter how the environment looks senseless and stupid around you.

Sonic Adventure 2 over 1?? Explain yourself!

Everything about 2 is better except for the Tails levels. I hate the shooty boi shit. Flying and racing with Sonic was way better. Also I like the edgehog and the story in general.

It has flaws, but it's the best 3d Sonic game of all time imo. I can't wait to see them make a new one that fixes the flaws of Frontiers. They really made something great to build upon.

I've always mashed the spin dash button a bunch of times to "charge" it up even in games where it doesn't work that way so meh

Oh shit apparently there's a mod that swaps it, so pressing the dash button quickly does a spin dash instead long-pressing it. Okay I might be able to join SA2 > SA1 gang. Going to reinstall the game now

Apparently, there's a full blown remake of Sonic 06 that looks promising. Surprised a Japanese studio is so lax on fan-made games unlike Nintendo.

You should be happy. Do you WANT your favorite franchises getting massive mainstream attention and having it fucked with? The last few Sonic games have been notorious disasters if anything Sonic is much better off being more low key, niche, and in the hands of dedicated autists.

Not my favorite mascot, the honor goes to the bear and the bird, but the blue hedgehog still has had some really good games.
Countless hours spent in Sonic Adventure 2, especially the Chao Garden. They should bring it back. With all the collections laying around, I should find some time to play the older titles. And having played the first two titles in the GBA trilogy, they ain't bad games.

Good on Sega that they allowed for the modding community to thrive. One of their better decisions. And honestly, while this is more from hearsay and footage, it does give the impression that their mods are usually of higher quality.

SA2 Sonic was the best from a design standpoint. Sonic's appearance post-Unleashed is strangely uncanny to me, everytime I see it I get put off. He just hasn't looked right since.

Could I ask for more info from anyone on this? Tell me of the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise I first found out about Sonic on some fan-game on Newgrounds or some place like it, didn't know anything about it besides that it was a fun 2D game and loved the sound effects. Shadow always seemed interesting (Knuckles and Tails too), and know the names only, no lore or story. The only "modern" thing I know of the characters that was made is this:

The Adventure 1 pose with the finger guns is the greatest sonic the hedgehog related piece of art ever created. Sega has never depicted sonic better than that and never will.
