Isn't most of the game unvoiced? No way they will recreate all the content. Also why skip the first game?

My predictions :
1 - Will be 5e which will RUIN lots of iconic spells, no more finger of Death, contingency, etc. And ruin a lot of interesting magical items and monsters' abilities.
2 - Blackwashing a lot of characters. Enemies will remain white.
3 - Sanitization of many topics. The enslaved Dryad concubines, some dialogs like "Let's try some enchantment spells on our new cute prisoner," will be removed. Drow will become like any regular elf.
4 - Pronouns and body types
5 - No rolling for attributes
What you think?

Oblivion didn't changed only the visuals. Gender based different attributes become "region" different attribute, because left hates genetic/natural differences. And many stuff got censored. Eg :
Censorship in the Oblivion Remaster
But yes, if this end with SOME woke nonsense instead of a total bastardization, is the best case scenario.

The Gates aren't really all that dialogue-heavy. Planescape Torment they're not. The word counts are pumped up by all the lore books and item descriptions.
Sources say two different teams are working on remakes of both games at the same time.

yeah there were a few changes I already forgot, cant really say most of these influenced the gameplay for me tho. Most annoying **** were the visual bugs you got from invisiblity spells. And that it broke most mods. But if you wanted to introduce the game to your kid or nephew these days on a console the remake was ok for that. Not too much subversion.

If they were confident in their skills then they would be making BG4 rather than having to rely on an old game.

It's not going to be Larian and any BG4 not made by Larian would be widely panned, just like these will be.

By "Larian" I meant the Larian that existed when BG3 entered development. Not even current Larian could make BG3.

Never finished BG2 because Inanity Engine just isn't that enjoyable to me for a prolonged period of time and BG1 is a much shorter game. So now I won't finish the remastered BG2 either but I will have a convincing argument why it's real ******* gay

BG1 was the more enjoyable game for me. BG2 regresses in a lot of ways people rarely discuss e.g., BG1 frequently acknowledges you're using invis to bypass encounters, whereas BG2 has invisible walls or forced encounters even if invisible.

BG having to adhere to TSR's Code of Ethics was pretty annoying, but BG2 dropping that resulted in a main quest where you have to cooperate with a thieves guild - who have all their many torture devices on display in their hideout - because the alternative is a group of vampires. Paladin characters aren't given the opportunity to smite them all.

A minute is silence for Keldorn.
The old white paladin whose only choice will be to accept being cuckholded forever onwards or break his oath and die from madness.

They're going to turn Keldorn into a **** and then point at the original and say "he was swarthy back then, why do you care chud?"
