Racially Accurate NPC Voices for Realms Restored 1.0 — Baldur's Gate 3

Tired of scrolling through mods made by anime twinks? Does Baldur's Gate 3 seem to be bereft of cultural identity?

Look no further! Here are some paks that will correct some off sounding NPC's!

This mod alters the voices of various NPC's that that just don't seem to line up with their race, profession, and general ugliness (Z'rell). The difference between this mod and my previous one (Racially Accurate NPC's) is that there are some races that were overhauled with Realms Restored. An example being that a dwarf that I had previously made sound more dwarf'y is now a human. Some are returning characters from the previous mod.

Big shout out to @orinEsque @loregamer @Silver and @Crusaderknight20. Thanks for getting me here Team!

Sorry in advance for my ****** mod posting skills, this mod will work regardless of having Realms Restored, you'll just have to suffer ****** sounding dwarves.

Pretty good! Is the narrator changed by this mod? I rather like her voice and would like to keep it.

Nope, separate mod.

So great that the voices are modular! Since I'm recording my playthroughs, I can continue and just not use the voices of the NPCs that would break continuity for now.
There seems to be a problem with the Efrin module though:

And how did you get Gheris Hhune to have this extensive conversation with Astarion? I don't think I ever had that happen!

I will look into it, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

As far as the Gheris conversation goes, I've never not had that conversation happen.

Something is off with that one, every line is 18 seconds long, I'm working on it now.

Unfortunately, it still (v 1.1) resets my load order every time I try to use the mod. If I activate it ingame with native Mod Manager, it shows this as well as previous poster said. I deleted the problem file and mods are loading fine.

It's strange that it's only Efrin though. Take that one out of the load order, and see what happens. Do you by any chance have the previous Racially accurate NPC''s from 2 years ago in the load order?

@Lancaster

I tried v1.3 and it resets load order again (deactivating all mods). I deleted VoiceEfrin.pak again and it loads smoothly. I guess this Efrin is just cursed.
Image

I don't press or demand anything since I have around 270 mods in total (using MO2) and it could potentially be compatibility problem on my side, so another testers needed probably.

In Mod Manager at the top, click "go", go into your mod folder, and see how many Efrin flies are in it, delete both of them if there are 2, and then try downloading again. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. Load orders resetting due to audio files usually means that something is doubled up.

Can also be Efrin folder nane or mod uuid conflicting with another one of your voice mods.

The first time I corrected it, it was likely due to the wav files that I for some reason had in the soundbanks folder when they should've been wem. I'll add an all-in-one pack just for the convenience of not having multiple mods.

The message about the bad UUID is still present. In the meta file it is listed incorrect which is why it is still prompting that error.

This is what it looks like:
<attribute id="UUID" type="FixedString" value="Alters the Voice of Efrin" />

I replaced the line with this to stop it:

<attribute id="UUID" type="FixedString" value="13cca0f0-dded-a352-8c2d-c85b993c2b59" />

It's the UUID of this mod :
CL_Inconstant Moon - Cleric Gear
https://mod.io/g/baldursgate3/m/cl-shad ... escription

So don't use it with the voice mod if you make the switch.

Gheris Hhune's voice isn't working. I placed it in the override and load order beneath my other sound mods.

It was still the old voice with this new version; I found the conflict was with DVQR (Dialogue Voice Quality Restoration). The Other/Side Character modules it has caused the original voice to play. It probably has been doing this with the other voices in this mod too without me paying attention.

Not sure if it's possible to make a version of this mod that is compatible with that one.

Ah, yeah having DVQR causes issues. Do the voices from No Alphabets and the main RR Voices addon work for you? We overrid the voice lines in a different way for those

Those seem to work - I use Florrick, Cazador, Male Steel Watchers, and Zevlor from RR. Sir Aelen also sounds like a man from NA and that one gnome you save from Nere is female sounding.

The Anders redone mod on this site also worked for his voice.

Right now I just take out the 2 DVQR modules that conflict with this mod.
