Wabbajack UNLOCKED 2.3 — Modding Tools

Post by loregamer »

Wabbajack UNLOCKED 1.0 — Modding Tools
Image
Wabbajack Autoclicker

Overview
Wabbajack modlist installer, but UNLOCKED.
  • Auto-Installation for non-premium Nexus users
  • Able to manually set your game folder location
  • Game folder integreity checks DISABLED
    • Default Wabbajack will only look for your game in "legitimate" folder paths, and then ensure they are legal copies of the game

NOTE: The solution to auto-download Nexus Mods is "click these coordinates on the screen" so you don't have to do it yourself. This is still against Nexus's terms of service, I guess.

If this sounds too SCARY since you are a submissive pookie wookie boo boo bunny bear, then do not use this. Eat the bugs and bend the knee to MODTROONS

Downloads
FilesVersionTypeDescription
📥 Wabbajack Unlocked v2.3MainForked from Wabbajack v4.0.2.0

► Old Versions

Installation Instructions
  1. Extract folder to wherever you want.
    • Password to the archive is niggajack
  2. Open Wabbajack.exe
  3. Then kys loser

Note On Source Code / Building the app yourself
For devs, you can view the GitHub repo here. I tried to make the changes as minimal as possible so this can be more maintainable with Wabbajack updates. Ideally, we should be able to just sync this branch with main and then just fix a few merge conflicts.

For anyone who just wants to build the app themselves, visit the repo link, click the green "Code" button, Download Zip, run build.bat, and then go to C:\tmp\publish-wj\app. Please note you'll first need to first download Python and .NET 9.0 SDK

Reporting Bugs
To report any bugs, please submit a post in the Mod Support section and mention my username.

I'll probably have to coordinate with @rusty_shackleford if we actually make Wabbajack lists with HQ mods in them. I seem to get cucked by Cloudfare on the download request. Luckily, it gives a report at the end of the failed downloads, their links, and how to manually resolve and setup your list

Hopefully you guys find usage out of this for now, though. Lemme know if there are any issues

If you do that, I would suggest forking the main Wabbajack repo and cherry-picking the individual autodownload patch instead, since the dude who maintains (and made?) that fork seems to be a troon faggot brony. So an autosync could pull up unwanted stuff.

Nice work though. I respect the sheer spite of editing all the banner pics.

Wabbajack detects if the game is bought or cracked. But looks like it does not detect properly installed (cracked) gog games so far.

I always thought they used Steam to actually find your game directory, but what it ACTUALLY does is verify it exists in your steam manifest files. Goddamn Bethesda fellaters…

I’m just going to disable that entirely. It seems like there are forks of Wabbajack that already do this. It’s an easy fix

Temp solution for now:

Also, I think I’ll just version this myself. Next update will be v1.1, with a note that it’s forked from v3.5.7.3 of Wabbajack

I’m going to turn off game file validation. Not sure what business Wabbajack has enforcing a specific game folder setup. Just put the mods in the bag, bro

Same here i bought ae edition years ago after wabbajack didn't work on cracked copies but it was quite cheap like 20 dollars though.

Just tested this on a fallout new vegas modlist and working as intended so far thank you. If i find any irregularities i will let you know.

Notes to self:

  • I can make the modhq domain whitelist even simpler by just doing this change
  • 4.0 ui redesign beta branch here, build .exe download for it here
  • Make custom icon library and change social media icons to rpghq ones
  • randomize splash text for the lols?

Very motivated to do this fork now. I wonder how many based chuds were strong-armed into paying to use Wabbajack

Are we truly the last non-trooned out modding scene…? Or are even we doomed? Should I stop while my penis is intact?

📥v1.1.0

  • :pirate: :pirate: Wabbajack will no longer check that you have an UNALTERED, (((LEGAL))) game folder :pirate: :pirate:
    • You'll be able to install modlists even if you don't have the game installed at all. Wabbajack will now TRY to find your game folder like default, but if it doesn't, then it just keeps going
    • I've also removed the code that verifies the integrity of your game folder when it DOES find it
  • Made the application's version v1.1.0 (I'll be versioning it myself from now on)
  • Now hosted on its own repo, wabbajack-unlocked
  • Changed the application icon
  • Changed the caption here:
    Image

Lemme know if you guys run into any issues :weeb:

Also worth noting, you can download the modlist even faster with this tool:

Wabbajack-fast-downloader

Just make sure the mods are in the same "downloads" folder as what you set in Wabbajack

:dice: You should make jak 2 mods
What's jak 2
Old ps2 game. Super fun and soulful and worth playing still. Some autists rebuilt the engine to make a pc port and it’s apparently really easy to mod now.

Will this work for the GOG version of Skyrim or does it only work for the Steam version?

P.S.
Awesome job cracking Wabbajack. I've wasted too many hours modding without playing and I refuse to give a single more dime to Nexus. So, kudos!

A Nexus crack would be nice as well; manually clicking for every mod in large modlists is tedious.

It’ll work. I removed all points of failure related to finding and verifying your game folder. Worst case scenario, Wabbajack can’t find your game folder, the modlist installs anyway, and you have to set your game directory when opening MO2. Easy peasy :bounce:

Do you mean as part of Wabbajack or a separate tool?

As a separate tool I guess, something like JDownloader 2

Looks like some tools exist for this. Maybe give them a try and if they suck, lemme know and I can add it to my list of stuff to look into
