There is no point. It's an attempt to outsource "security" that simply produces ineffectual security threater with no practical increase in security.

If I have hundreds of passwords on Lastpass is there any easy way to move it to a new manager? Do I have to just manually input them all?

Is Bitwarden the go to now?

I don't like using services hosted by others to manage my passwords. Bitwarden seems to offer self-hosting, but it's definitely not promoted.

Sometimes 2FA gives you the secret key, sometimes they just give you a QR code. You can use any QR code decoder to get the secret key you need, there's even online ones like https://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx
