Have only played Eternal Punishment but I assume it's very similar.. I liked the story and characters. Dungeons are long and on the grindy side even for that era of JRPG. The demon fusion in P3 was a big step up from the P2 summoning system.

This game has a lot of moon logic.
I need to get a way into this secret casino and a character even mentions going to the detective agency to spread rumors about it so it will open.
However I can't just go to the detective agency because they are randomly not there. I have to go to every rumormonger and not just ask them specifically about the casino rumor (which does nothing) I also have to make small talk with all of them before another character will go "oh I guess no one knows anything we should try the detective agency!" and now they're suddenly there.
