From 35% off to 40%

Do I hear 50?
This gif reminded me of Lucanis' first personal quest. You go to a cafe and talk about coffee and that's pretty much it. Reminds me of how modern mainstream superhero comics have the superheroes text each other about relationship drama and go on dates instead of, you know, fighting evil and shit.

It's a fan-fic crap that infected professional writers who either came from fan-fiction or read too much of it themselves https://fanlore.org/wiki/Coffee_Shop_AU

Additionally "Based on studies and surveys, a significant majority of fanfiction writers identify as women. Estimates suggest that around 70-80% of fanfiction writers are female."

Lol, this thing is going to be 80% off within a year, possibly six months.

Can confirm, as I had to filter out "coffee shop AU" and "high school AU" and "library AU" far too often when I looked for a good fanfic to read. And, yes, nearly all of the fanfics that centered around a cool story or had decent worldbuilding were clearly written by men. But the overwhelming majority of fanfiction is, sadly, all the sappy romance shit written by and for young women.
And the fact that shipping has infected the actual writing of movies, shows, vidya is a fucking travesty.

If you are wondering where the plague of D&D campaigns taking place in coffee shops or "cozy fantasy" comes from it is from women. Your local Barnes & Noble fantasy section is just either filled with "romantasy" or "cozy fantasy". For actual fantasy books I have to go to either Half-Price Books, eBay or Amazon. To think people in the publishing industry are wondering why young boys and men aren't reading anymore. It is because fantasy (that once was a genre that men could escape to and aspire to be someone greater) has become insipid, coddling, gynocentric, drivel made for the lowest common donominator of women. Now I for one think there is a market for everyone. If there is a market for romantasy and cozy fantasy books they should be sold but the problem today is that the entertainment industry favors catering to just women instead of men to the point that I think is malicious. There is a market of men and boys desperate for traditional fantasy stories and many of these publishing companies can make big bucks in catering to this large audience yet they refuse. Either people in the publishing industry are retarded or malicious.

:what:
There are some really good ones out there, like the "Batman has to infiltrate an army base Ground Zeroes style but it's 1939" or "War vet Harry Potter gets zapped back to the 1970s and has to fight Voldemort during his first rise" or "KotOR characters accidentally time-skip 4000 years and have to face Vader and the Emperor" (that one got abandoned in the middle of the story climax, sadly).
Hmm, a lot of them are either period pieces or have to do with time travel.

I work for a multinational corporation with about 60000+ employees. Officially more than 65% of them are women. Most of the mid to high level boss positions are women. Promotions are given to... you guessed it... women. Even in lower end jobs that require hard manual labor, they are staffing women, most of whom can't work as hard, as good, as long, as productive as their male counterparts.

Problem - Solution road trip looks like this:

15 years ago, when men were in charge it used to look this way

We are just wired differently.

Procrastination, incompetence, illogical and sometimes completely delusional way of thinking is the norm now, and not an exception.

There are smart and competent women, I won't lie. BUT, they are definitely under 5% of overall number of female colleagues I had the unpleasure of working with. And the yapping, the goddamn constant yapping is unending.

So, yes, I fucking understand why the mainstream gaming industry is dying right now.

Look how they massacred my girl... :yuck:

Cute, funny, ginger girl, of course they had to androgenize her in the sequel. :groan:

A thousand poxes upon them. May they endure an eternal itch they can never hope to scratch out for this sacrilege. :knight:

If I might have once been tempted by the Christmas Sale, this would have ruined that. Let the skinwalkers wearing BioWare's name dry up and die thirsty for a non-existent customer base. :rip:

If you romanced Harding in Inquisition there is also no option to say so in this game compared to every other romance, want to know why exactly? I thought it was because they made Harding a romance here, but I now believe, after reading around, that they made it so because Harding WILL get into a "romance" with Traash if she is not romanced. They spat on everything that they could and the only good parts of the game are those left from the original Dreadwolf that is now dead and buried, and even those they gave them their own "spin" to it (shit).

Sorry for double post, this is some of the story as it should have been for Dreadwolf for anyone interested. Not sure if it was posted here before, I could not find it here but do let me know if that is the case.

I recommend to just ignore this "dragon age" and treat it as something else and make up your own story for what happens after Inquisition if anyone reading this might still be waiting for something more. And for anyone that tries it in spite of it all and finds SOME parts good, remember that those parts are not made by the team you would be giving your money to, but perverted and stolen from the original project from what I understand. What you would be buying is things like Traash, all the "slavery/Wardens bad" talk, lesbians everywhere, etc. If it wasn't any more obvious, they do not deserve your money.

Agree 100%. I personally do not even count the Leliana or Awakening DLC, nor any of the DLCs like Shale's (which are more comedic than I can handle for what I had come to expect from Origins), but I know a guy that was looking forward to Dreadwolf and we spoke of Veilguard just recently, so I thought I'd share for all out there that might be thinking on spending money out of poisonous "hope" that these companies nurture.

I agree with Awakening, it was almost 'marvelesque' at times, which was / is grating at best.

Tbh if you're still willing to buy Dilation Age: Trannyguard after seeing videos of it, you're beyond convincing.

The "new" Bioware is losing money, but it's not their fault obviously. :D
