Turns out the last remaining straight men playing Bioware games prefer a brown woman over a short and squat tomboy ginger (who they also prefer over the annoying manic pixie Asian elf)? Yedlike better watch out.

Unsurprising that the black elf and the old queer are dead last. This is quite a bit of a zag from Inquisition where straight women got like half a dozen options, here they only get one.

I am very suspect of this infographic precisely because of that. The novelty of a Qunari female romance would not be enough to outweigh how fucking annoying and awfully written Traash is. I've seen dozens of comments (on Reddit, YouTube, Twitter) about how much people dislike her and how a lot of them didn't romance her because she acts like a mentally retarded teenager. That, and she's hideously physically repulsive.
Neve is a female human, and being human beats out being a dwarf, even if the dwarf is a cute ginger and the human is a tranny-sounding pajeeta.
Lucanis is an amalgamation of Zevran and Anders, but of much lower quality than either of them. Still, he's the most attractive for any women who'd play a Dragon Age game.
Bellara is a one-for-one copy of Shrek from Andromeda. She's insufferable yet bland at the same time.
Davrin is a one-for-one copy of Jacob from Mass Effect 2. And, just like Jacob, completely uninteresting, like chewing on cardboard.
And Emmrich, despite being arguably the best written character, is indeed an old poofter. And very few people are into that.
Inquisition, on the other hand, did indeed have three I-can-fix-him fairy tale handsome white guys just for straight women and three options for the queers. Straight men got the short end of the stick with only two women (one being a tomboy MILF, the other a greasy pajeeta (hmm, looks like someone at BioWare has a type)).

It is. It's entirely possible to avoid any romance. Unlike Origins, where companions can come onto you first (Morrigan and Zevran openly flirting, Leliana ninjaromancing you), nobody in Veilguard initiates any flirting. Probably because they wanted to avoid the companions being "creepy." They failed, by the way. Traash is one of the creepiest sexpests in Dragon Age, right alongside Iron Bull.

Gayest, most female targeted game they ever made and straight men still came out in first.

That's not surprising. Even though BioWare has a bigger than usual percentage of females in their audience, it's still majority male. Video games is a male hobby and no amount of marketing faggotry is gonna change that. Just like with Mass Effect and BioWare pushing FemShep everywhere didn't change the fact that over 80% played as John Shepard. Just like Larian whining about their extensive character creator and diverse love interests didn't stop Human Male Cleric from being the most popular PC or the conventionally attractive white woman (as much of a slut as she was written to be) from being the most popular romance option.

I won't delete it, but I will admit that I have no first hand knowledge of any of her slatternly behaviour. I barely started Act 2 before I dropped BG3, so I was not exposed to the majority of the degeneracy and faggotry in the game.

I never thought Reddit's obsession with FemShep was organic. It was at odds with all the ME memes which featured Male Shepard.

Ubisoft released gender breakdown for Odyssey(heavy male split despite female being in all the ads + the canon choice), never released it for Valhalla because it must have been even more split towards male(the "woman" was much uglier than Kassandra, and you play as a viking, again, the woman was canon)

Gamedevs collect analytics then just throw it out because it doesn't match their biases

I remember how game journos screeched when some Ubisoft exec cited "female protagonists being unpopular and selling less" as the reason for not including a female protagonist in AC Unity all the way back in 2015. Which, as pretty much everybody knew back then, is true. And it's still the case if we simply look at the popularity of male protagonists when choice is available (Jacob in Syndicate, Alexios in Odyssey, male Eivor in Valhalla) and the lower sales when only female protagonist is available (that chinky spin-off, AC Liberation, SW Outlaws). Ahh, back when moneymen were at the wheel and games actually catered to straight men (i.e. the main fucking customer base).
Also, it is baffling how ugly female Eivor in Valhalla is. I remember how people ragged on Kassandra for being too manly (rightfully so) when Odyssey first came out. And then Valhalla comes out with Eivor having a jaw three times more square, a body even flatter than Kassandra's, and a voice of a chain-smoker. I guess it can always get worse.

This kinda surprises me tbh, almost all the thirsting i saw from people online was about the old queer. Guess even for veilguard most of the audience will be straight men even if they can barely be classified as male.

reddit is a massive echo chamber

BG3 reddit had a meltdown when the romance stats were released and shadowheart was far and away the #1 most romanced despite barely ever being discussed there

They really can not admit to themselves that gaming is a male dominated hobby. Feminist's have completely taken over the entirety of the Western entertainment industry and, try as they might, they just can't get women and girls interested in gaming or male dominated genres like action and Sci-fi. Women don't like violence. They find blood, gore and aggression frightening. What do a majority of women like? Well they seem to like things like Barbie, Wicked, The Sims and romances. Trying to get video games to appeal to women is a losing battle. I recall a story about Jeff Bezos with Amazon about how Amazon back in the day was having a hard time competing with Barnes & Noble (Amazon back then primarily sold books). When members of marketing asked Bezos what they should do he stated that they should just focus on pleasing the customers they have. Sure enough good word of mouth spread and Amazon is now the dominate online retailer in the world. The games industry should take Bezos's advice. Focus are your main demographic which are men and make games that they will like. The women who play video games tend to be women that prefer more male dominated hobbies. They will come if the game is good. However, women will always be a minority of gamers. That is just the hard truth.

Women vikings were way more historically accurate than woman hoplites.

Doesn't matter though because Ass Creed was never good and will never be good.

The pirate game was alright but it wasn't good.

The PC in odyssey is a mercenary iirc.
I agree that neither is historically accurate, but one is clearly more cast in a warrior role.

oh come now, Cassandra was actually a nice romance option. She's like a tsundere and reading varics books being her guilty pleasure and you being able to get him to keep writing so she can enjoy reading more, is a very nice way of showing you care for her.
