I mostly listen to music when programming to help focus, Dungeon Synth archives is great for it. No lyrics to distract.

I'm seeing conflict results from studies on this topic. Some show 'soft' music to be the most beneficial vs other types and silence while others show no difference, though it seems many subjectively feel it helps like you do. I always figured silence was the best but maybe I'll try some synth.

Absolute balls to the wall heavy metal from 1983 made by some maniac Finns, afaik mostly went ignored by Finns, but it has become cult classic since then.
