Discord-like interface (thus easier to convince normies to try it/get used to it) and much simpler backend server setup (matrix is a nightmare).

Storytime...about a year ago my team implemented a discord competitor chat to some degree which scales even better...
Really easy to run and has things like "multiple time" - one of those Alan Kay-ish wishlist things - as in you can post not just below a comment but side by side - some fun stuff like that included.
But we didn't succeed in getting VC for that. And well, without VC we can't afford to provide free audio or video chat. Which makes it not worth releasing, not competitive enough so far...

Does this offer free sound/camera or is it pure text? Encrypted or not? Or yes, but only if self-hosted?
