I'm convinced that it's God's favored drink.
Flavorful, strong, fitting for any kind of situation. Coffee is the second most popular beverage in the world, surpassed only by water.
It can be served as simple black coffee, or mixed with milk, sometimes with chocolate as well. Though it's not uncommon to see it mixed with some more exotic recipes.
Preparing coffee is also an art in itself. Some people prefer using french press, moka, espresso, among many other methods, or even simple paper filter or coffee maker when feeling lazy. Some people have it as a full-fledged profession (it's called barista).
Some inferior lifeforms, though, choose to completely waste coffee's potential and drink instant coffee
. And seeing a forum member making such sacrilege is what drove me to make this topic.
Share your favorite ways of making and drinking coffee, any curiosities about coffee, or whatever you want I don't care.
My recommended way for starters of making coffee is:
► Show Spoiler
1- Boil approx 350ml (to imperialfags it's approximately 20 miles) of water. That's a large cup, maybe you'll want less, adjust accordingly. Turn it off just before it's starting to boil, don't let it boil fully or it'll partially spoil the coffee. When I'm feeling lazy (often) I boil more water and put the coffee in a vacuum flask to drink during the day
2- Grind my coffee beans of preference (ALWAYS BUY COFFEE BEANS AND GRIND THEM YOURSELF, NEVER PRE GRINDED COFFEE, MUCH LESS INSTANT COFFEE). Can't give some precise measure because it's always visual for me. Obviously the more coffee you put, the more full-bodied it'll be, though too much coffee will also easily be too strong for your taste and wasteful
3- Put the coffee powder in a french press, paper filter etc (my personal favorite is french press, for starters paper filter will do)
4- Pour the boiled water over until the cup is full
5- Enjoy your rich and perfect beverage, that should grant you approximately 15 minutes of happiness.
