What about stuff considered ugly but a person can't do anything about it? I think we shouldn't shame people for stuff they have no control over. You can't change your face symmetry unless you go under surgery which a) costs your life savings and b) can go horribly wrong. I've been shamed for having little stomach and scratch marks even though I'm at normal weight, but that stuff is normal. Also, stuff like BMI is not always accurate.Xenich wrote: ↑ April 15th, 2024, 18:13Yep... Terms like symmetry, consonance, etc... are all terms used to describe those standards you mention. The contrast to them are established as such throughout history of various arts. One can certainly say they individually find asymmetry, dissonant sounds, or clashing colors appealing, but it is not because they are "pleasing" generally, as a rule, but more of an individual taste to which they subjectively established due to various reasons.TKVNC wrote: ↑ April 15th, 2024, 16:57I'm not saying you are, but then I'm not surprised a woman can't understand how averages and outliers work. But I think it's a subjective thing. For example, I know that I'm attractive to many men, but some men have rejected me because I'm not their type. And that's okay. I don't find all men/women attractive either.
I am also conflicted on the idea of subjective beauty - as I would argue certain opinions are demonstrable wrong, or the work of a corrupted mind. I will not go into much detail in this regard, as it opens the gateway to semantics, and pointless argumentation -- the short, and more interesting view, I would propose, is that the idea of 'subjective' beauty is a woke tool, employed to convince people that you cannot shame a view that is not commonly held, because, it's just like your opinion man. However, for nearly all of human history, certain standards have remained constant.orinEsque wrote: ↑ April 9th, 2024, 16:08Erasing the female form is a direct attack on women by troons that can never have it.
Ugly people are not "beautiful", they are homely due to the many factual aspects of their makeup. One can go against the grain and claim otherwise, but it would be as "normal" as claiming you like to put your appendage up the shit hole of another, it isn't just a different taste, it is a complete contradiction to the basis of human evaluation and practice.
The entire movement to promote fat, ugly, and clashing somehow as subjective is nothing more than the insane trying to convince the sane they are abnormal.
All of this goes back to the failed ideology of "relativism" which is the tool used by the abnormal to convince the world it is normal.
In the end, it is just another mentally ill person failing to cope with reality and because of such illness, they see nothing wrong with trying to change the reality of the entire world, rather than just accepting the truth of their place in it. Those types eventually will promote the destruction of those who do not share their qualities because they can never hide from this fact, hence the decimation of such standards throughout the industries.

You were born that way for a reason, what is good is beautiful what is bad is ugly. Simple as simple is. This is why makeup and plastic surgery is evil and a tool for women and jews btw, obfuscating your uglyness to trick someone just shows your poor character.AliciaDurge wrote: ↑ April 17th, 2024, 16:41What about stuff considered ugly but a person can't do anything about it? Still has pretty, smell and perky nose and with big eyes and simmetrical facial features, with a heartshaped ratio of cheekbones and chin.
You know who also has those facial features?
Yup, none other than Ms. "Unrealistic Beauty Standard" herself, Malibu Barbie!
So, she wants to use an avatar of a pretty woman while crying about videogame characters being "unrealistic supermodels".
Its OK when she gets to LARP as a pretty women. Its everyone else that can't have pretty character models.
*Sighs*. Did you read it when I said that other people can play as pretty super model women for all I care? I was talking about my own personal prefences. Also. I don't know Clara's character. I used her pfp because I was like "ok this looks fine I'll use this" because her looks remind me of my dnd character.

Nicer try but I won't fall for this.
There are plenty women with thin waist. Thinning waist using corsets was a common practice in victorian era, because it's a feature that both women and men find pleasing to look and have.AliciaDurge wrote: ↑ April 17th, 2024, 16:45I think the flaws are just stuff that doesn't make sense for me as a subjective thing. So the world is supposed to change its view of what is pleasing because a bunch of fat, ugly, unintelligent narcists can't come to terms with their own reality? Sounds reasonable.
The problem isn't society, its the individuals whining and moaning over not being represented. People don't want to play/watch games/movies where the women look like men and men don't want to watch some fat lard dancing around like they are sexy. Forcing it on to society is going to create a backlash (already is happening) and it won't be pleasant for those who pushed it.
Learn to live with yourself honestly, and you will not be concerned about this. Ever met a woman who knows they are ugly, accepts it, and just doesn't care what people think? They aren't out demanding representation, whining about not being paid attention to, they just don't care about that petty garbage because they aren't insecure little babies who haven't come to terms with reality.
Those are your strong women. They live their life and they don't give two thoughts to the emotional servitude to which all the infantile out there have imprisoned themselves in (and they don't lie to themselves about what is actually beautiful). This normally would have been learned by the feminists if they weren't so busy trying to get rid of the "The Patriarchy". It is a lesson fathers teach their children and it is something most women can't get their head around (which is why they fail as sole family units). Those that do understand this are called exceptional, the rest are just a bunch of breathing emotions.
