Richard Dawkins: I'm a Cultural Christian

Post by The_Mask »

After decades of renting out billboards against Christianity and actively becoming one of the more "famous atheists" in the western world, Richard Dawkins is not pleased with his own work:

Whoa it turns out spending your entire career destroying the pillars of the comfy safe civilization you live in with no functional system to replace it with doesn't pan out well.

Him, John Cleese, and anyone else who destroyed the culture they now whine about no longer having deserve everything they get.

"Cultural Christian" is a nonsense phrase. You are either a follower of Christ, or you're not.

Turns out that when you try to replace God the alternative is much, much worse. As Fredrick Nietzsche once said; "God is dead. Consider the consequences."

Anyway is interesting how the anti Christians declined too. Nietzsche said that Christianity promotes a slave morality and was akin to socialism in ancient world. Now people criticize it due "mih misoginy" and other nonsense. Not agreeing with Nietzsche, just saying that he had a much better critique.

As it usually is. These people only learn their mistakes when it is too late. This is the world Dawkins wanted. He can live with the consequences of the world he helped create.

He's a contrarian rat - like most atheists. They have little to no thought in replacing what they attempt to destroy - and interestingly, now faced with the work of his hands, he fears for himself, more than anything. His understanding of the Christian faith is relatively poor, the video more or less exposes that. He refers to Christianity as a bulwark - because he is afraid of Islam.

I won't call him a fool - as we all make mistakes - but I find the concept of a 'Cultural Christian' laughable.

He's worried about what he has been trying to erode being replaced with something he finds undesirable in comparison and yet he can't help but continue his assault on Christianity (6:10). Even though he'd like to live in a "Culturally Christian" country (2:40) and he's on "Team Christian" (4:37) the mental points he's scoring are too enjoyable to pass up.

It's amazing watching it. He doesn't want what he sees coming but the comfort derived from trying to knock holes in the only wall he thinks can act as a "bulwark" (4:21) against this is still just too tempting for him to pass up.

No, this is what a fool looks like. Anyone who yells "We're Sinking!" then tries to drill holes in the boat is a fool.

You are right, in truth. I err on trying to avoid unrighteous indignation; but to it's truest extent you are completely correct. Richard Dawkin's and other Godless heathens are fools, and the irony that they dare to say they hold any values they deem "Christian" is laughable, and offensive. You cannot have one without the other. He ought to be expelled to the Arab world to peddle his nonsense, and we'll see how they treat him.
Matthew 23:16 - "And you say, ‘If someone swears by the altar, that is not binding, but if someone swears by the offering that lies on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’ You blind fools! Which is of greater value—the offering, or the altar that makes the offering sacred?
He can pile up the proverbial offering, that is Culture in this case, and call it sacred, but it means nothing without the faith and belief that creates it.

Maybe he's finally become aware that the religion replacing Christianity still has the balls to do away with people like him. I guess he doesn't want to get tossed off a rooftop once the cultural shift is complete.

This man made a career of sounding sophisticated because of his british accent, seriously. If you wear a suit and talk with a british accent, you can apparently fool legions of gullible redditors into believing everything you say. I'm just surprised it took him this long to realize his ideology is degenerate, flawed, and leads absolutely nowhere.

You know, she did say her 2 year old asked about the difference between "knowledge" and "belief".

This guy refused to debate any decent religious debater whether Christian or Muslim, his book has been debunked at least a hundred times and full of hypocrisy and retardation, and now that he fell off he's trying to get the Christians to like him, what a fucking retarded cuck.

It is in a way. Many other satanic psy op grifters went the same route together with him, even on the same date afaik. Like Russell Brand etc. It is just their way of trying to control the message.
