Filtering people like vergil is a good thing
I have bad news for you surrounding the community of people who do speed runs of games like Dark Souls.

You know, I never really got into most console games (I did my run at the arcades and 8/16bit) and I never could get back into that style of play even with the 3D feel (in fact I disliked most console 3d games generally for a very long time).

Then there is the fact that I am a complete retard with the controllers, I just never liked the games enough to want to build the controller skills. So I avoided most console games until they started mainstream designing the PC games around them, to which I don't care for most games these days due to it. I mean, some look cool, they have interesting concepts, but it just feels like playing another arcade game in 3D and the interfaces really annoy me.
