i highly doubt that. It's far more likely some marketing department at Remedy hired someone to do 'viral marketing' for the game and the agency they hired did this.

i've seen different figures. depends on whether you're paying for per-tweet, or per-bot. also the type of platform you want to hit factors into the cost.

as an example i've heard that it can be as low as 50 cents per bot to increase your YT channel's subscriber count, but it also depends on the quality of the sub and whether you want them to leave a message as well.

By quality of the bot i mean how hard is it for an outsider to immediately tell whether it's a bot or not.
