Apparently Patch 6 broke them, Nolester is pretty active on his mods threads and is basically waiting for solution cause he himself doesnt know how to fix it so an input or two from someone how knows how to fix is hopefully going to be enough meanwhile "romance limit" author hasnt been active for a while now
Thanks in advance :smile:

Is NoAlphabets the only working voice mod? Interesting.

If they want help they can come here and ask me and post their mod on RPGHQ too.

I say keep your method secret, make them post their mods here. That's what they get for bowing to the woke mob.

I do not like Nexus removing mods they deem offensive. People should be able to mod the game how they wish. However, Nexus is privately owned and they can choose to publish whatever the hell they want. They are not obligated to host any particular mod. If you advocate for a modder's freedom to mod the game how they want, you should respect a website's freedom to post what they want. That being said, I would rather support websites that are less tyrannical with what mods they allow. If a mod website was as popular and feature rich as nexus I would maybe eventually migrate.

Currently, I have no interest in posting my mods here. With my upload speed and the size of my mod files, it takes like 8 hours or something to upload all the files for one mod. If I hosted on two sites it would double the time to upload each time I publish an update. So no I will pass on uploading here. Nexus for whatever reason is okay with my mods, so I have no incentive to change at this time.

Orinesque, if my decision to not host here is what deters you from helping me, that is your prerogative and I will not press you. I could seek help elsewhere. If you do help though it would be much appreciated.

That "freedom" you mention is omnidirectional. They create a monopoly. They then deny access to anything they deem "offensive" (I am not talking legit illegal stuff like child porn, torture, and what not). Then they pressure all contributors to comply, ban anybody who tries to pursue any of that "freedom" by posting mods elsewhere.

"Freedom" as the libertarian segment promotes it is a scam. Real freedom requires equal application of the rules. So I'm just saying tit for tat. If you are going to ban modders from your site, then you don't get to come running to the site that will host those mods when you need help with your own mods on the site that does all the banning. That's all I'm saying.

The woke mind virus is a cult. Cult members deserve what they get.

Made an account just to point out this is the hypocrisy that annoys many of us about the people running the site and causing this situation.
For better or worse, Nexus has become "THE Place" for mods. Holding a monopoly on it in people's minds as the go-to source for mods. Sure, they can "do what they want with their site", but it's clear as day why they do what they do.

I'm 100% sure that someone could go through the effort to make a Zevlor or Mizora Genderswap Mod and the people running Nexus wouldn't GAF, as they arn't in some "oh so sacred committed Gay relationships". But because of how they wish to ban things, the community is fragmented across a few sites (Same thing happened to Harry Potter. I had to get mods I wanted over a few private Discords).

Anyway, that's the end of my lil rant. He can post his mods wherever he wants, I'm just gonna sit here and hope my 1 Week break from work can have all the Gender Swapped mods in it working, because I'm not playing until they are. Hopefully, modders start becoming the change they want to see. Don't like how Nexus does things? Then also help out by posting your mods on other sites to promote their growth/ migration/ awareness. No site will ever be able to compete with Nexus if people don't bother also uploading to them.

Hi, it is understandable. But why not upload that one mod here instead of Nexus then ? :scratch:

I agree with n3IVI0, if one refuses to associate with or get he's mod in here, why does the people here should accept to help or contribute ?
Especially if said help is for the benefit of Nexus who would not allow any of it.

So you want to come here, not engage with the community at all, and ask for people to take time to assist you so you can not post things here. :scratch:

They could just not be *****, though, couldn't they.
We are talking about GAME MODS here. All they have to do is moderate the site per the law of the land that they're hosted in, not some ideological and very hypocritical (on their part) ********.

@Nolester if upload speed is the issue—something with which I have had years of painful experience—, you could ask someone here with a better connection to download from Nexus and reup for you.

Hi Nolester,
I share your pain of slow connections and terrible upload speeds. As @WhiteShark pointed out, another member of this forum could download from Nexus and reupload for you. Afterall, only way to get a rich community of users and modders on alternative sites is if modders themselves make the active decision to use websites that put their modders before cancel culture goons. (If I remember correctly your own Narrator mod was banned by Nexus?)

In the spirit of modding I would be happy to share my knowledge. However, doing so just to support the pus-filled pimple that is nexus mods, just rubs me the wrong way. If you are happy for HQers to upload your mod here for you, I would be happy to share how I have solved the voice issue with you.

EDIT: It seems you can directly transfer your mod from nexus to here without having to reupload.

Vault actually can mirror your nexus files.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... _id=465780
->
'Slow download'
->
When the download pops up, hit escape, right click copy the 'Click Here' URL link
->
Paste it into the Vault URL uploader.

https://f.rpghq.org/iv7ynI6Qvmjl.7z?n=A ... 6472234.7z

(The URL percent encoding seems to get mangled a bit, I'll look into fixing it later.)

I don't know if that breaks any Nexus terms of service or whatnot. I just wanted to point it out.

They don't follow their own terms anyway so, I vote **** em.
Normally I'm all for "free and open access to modding", but considering Nexus are explicitly against that nowadays (due to following their woke mantra, rather than supporting modders), it would be better for all if Nexus is the only place that has none of this stuff working, and people are encouraged to find alternate sites for their updated mods.

They'll probably ban anyone for associating with OrinEsque and/or this place anyway. But if so then they don't deserve to host working mods.

@Nolester I don't really have a bone in this fight since I don't use any voice mods other than No Alphabets but I guess I would genuinely consider (additionally) hosting mods here. I have a few mods I have planned that are sorta innocuous and aren't the "usual" stuff uploaded here, but I don't plan to put them all on Nexus either. I haven't been happy with the direction Nexus has been going in general, politics aside even. Like think about it, your AI voice mods would get taken down the SECOND that a voice actor makes a stink about it because "AI scary". I've seen it so many times.

This place definitely just feels like a group of guys (and unfortunately, gals LOL) who are posting stuff we worked on and aren't under some now big corporation's moderation. Maybe you could at least upload your Male Narrator mod here since Rusty doesn't seem to bow down to angry voice actors at least?

Speaking of that actually, I'm gonna see if I can find this Mass Effect 3 mod that got removed called Jack's Shore Leave. You gotta go digging but it used AI to add Jack to the Citadel DLC mission.

What's funny was the voice actor complaining, when it wasn't even her voice being used in the model rofl, it was the male's.

I don't know how she is harmed by this. That's just her lame excuse, pretext for censorship. It would be like one of the bands in GTA V getting upset because somebody installed a mod that replaced their music with different music.

The woman got paid. She continues to be paid. It shouldn't matter what we do, unless the goal is censorship.

Had I known in advance how very woke this game is, and the level of censorship being directed at modders, I would have pirated it.
