A lot of it depends on your team and also how you roll with it. If you're a squad leader or a tank commander and your squad leader is a dick and/or retarded, you banter with him. If your leader knows what he's doing, you follow his commands and get shit done. If you have radio silence, the game quickly becomes lonely and unfulfilling. It is absolutely dependent on other people, even when they suck. Just like a real war in some sense, I'd imagine.

Every class has merits btw, so here's your RPG element. No single class is underpowered or overpowered. For instance, machine gunners are formidable if they can find a place to mount. Without it, they're borderline useless. Medics and anti tank both use the same rifles, but have differing utility. I fucking love this game.

This game has offered more satisfying FPS "Wowsers" moments than any shitpile mass produced game I've ever played. Running solo through enemy territory for 5 mins, Laying prone in a bush watching an enemy tank roll by, seeing it hit by a shell setting the entire thing on fire, seeing the crew panic and vainly try to escape, picking them off as they sprint away.

It's not a twitch game. It can be. But it isn't. Most of it is about using your brain, being patient, and being where the enemy will not expect you to be. It is fucking beautiful. As long as you can aim a mouse at a moving target you will get kills.

A lot of it is common sense aswell. Don't raise your head in a trench. Don't move when it isn't necessary. If you are on a front with the enemy, you do not fucking move. You wait for them to move. Just lay prone and watch for movement. They always move first. If you hate the game, you have no patience. This is just like real life. Human eyes are evolved to detect movement
