Why do they lie about it so much? A lot of the lies seem really petty and malevolent as well.

Ah I felt there might be an anti-white motive after hearing the kangalese were backed by white mercs.Emphyrio wrote: ↑ March 8th, 2024, 04:24Several things:Nammu Archag wrote: ↑ March 8th, 2024, 04:05

1. Advocacy by some of the A Company veterans and family members who want more awards, medals and plaques. The movie is based on a book by one of those advocates.
2. Delicate threading of the political needle to make a movie about white men gunning down hordes of black men. A movie about 5 Commando killing Congolese cannibals couldn't be made today. This movie, about the UN ruthlessly crushing a pro-white secessionist movement ("mining companies" in the pocket of a corrupt "general tshombe"), evidently made the grade.
3. If the events were described accurately, the audience would get confused and not understand that the UN are supposed to be the good goys.
4. Normal filmmaker incompetence.
btw, Mark Strong's character, Connor Cruise O'Brien, was a real piece of shit. In his memoirs he does the Norm MacDonald joke, saying how horrible it would be if there was a large-scale massacre of whites- because can you imagine, how vindicating that would be for Tshombe?? Meanwhile O'Brien was trying to get the British and French governments to donate heavy bombs so he could drop them on Elisabethville.
It's like a form of detournment; they take something that is conceptually appealing or created by their opposition, and then flip it to appease their own agenda.A Chinese opium den wrote: ↑ March 8th, 2024, 05:23While a film about a fake situation where some white boys are besieged and kill like infinity niggers somewhere in Africa sounds cool and funny is it really shocking that it wasn't actually based, and like everything coming out of the movie industry of America is actually just gay communist propaganda? Good thread though, very well put together.
You mean like how Germany is portrayed in WWI and WWII? They have been at this a long time, I would say most Hollywood movies are mostly propaganda and if it has Documentary or "based on" labeled on it, even more so.Nammu Archag wrote: ↑ March 8th, 2024, 04:05Why do they lie about it so much?
