Reminds me of the Predator HD Blu-Ray where they tried to remove all film grain and made it look like a weird wax nightmare

Inoffensive? It looks like it's significantly changing the colors in these films. That seems like an issue.

The fan AI remasters have so far been significantly better than the official ones. Expecting people to be surprised by the first company that actually puts any effort into it.
I watched the fan-made DS9 AI upscale and it looked great.

My biggest pet peeve with modern filmslop is the droaning, metallic "soundtracks" and the muted color schemes. Not to mention poor audio quality across the board.
