FFS.

Every conversation in this game:

"Hey man. Pretty sweet how we kilt all those [INSERT MONTSTERS]. What's up with you?"

"Let's bone."

Please tell me how to fix this. Is it load order? Do I need ScriptHook?

While I'm thinking about it, somebody with a female character might want to check the dialogue of the female party members at the party, since there is likely more faggotry going on there.

Thank you for the mod!

Some quick questions, do the files in the "specific characters" folder use the vanilla version or the celibate version? How do the individual files interact with the Lingo and Voice files? And how do the Lingo and Voice files for this mod interact with the NoAlphabets mod?

You're welcome! :)

So, for specific characters, it uses NoRomCelibate, but only for that specific character. I didn't truly test out, if it can activate, alongside "NoRomVanilla" and "NoRomCelibate".

Lingo and voice lines are compatible with the individual filed since it just changes the dialogue. I've also updated the mod description, explaining that you can enable the voice file alongside NoAlphabetsVoice.

However, if you're planning on using NoRomLingo, do not use NoAlphabetsLingo Because, NoRomLingo includes all the changes of NoAlphabetsLingo.

Hello this mod sounds so good. I'm starting a new playthrough so I would like a clarification, I already have NoAlphabetsLingo for dialogue in my load order but in your description you said to use your Lingo file instead. Does this means your Lingo provides more and also covers the same thing as NoAlphabetsLingo?

Thank you very much for creating this amazing mod! One little side comment: the mod's name is a bit misleading. IMO, it would be better to call it "Better Romance Mod," for example, since it offers much more options than just disabling romances, as one might assume from the current name. Also, there is the "Better Aesthetics" mod, so that name would fit really well.

I can finally enjoy this game properly as if it was 2010 all over again. Thank you good modders and good people out there separating art from agendas!

You're welcome! Honestly, I just beat Baldur's Gate and got to this scene. There aren't any parameters like approval; it's just how his character is written.

Since he doesn't have normal lip movement, though, I can freely change his dialogue ;)

@Crusaderknight20 Have you updated the mod for Patch 6 if it needed? I heard Patch 6 broke some voice mods (I know it broke Pris's narrator mod). Just wondering if I need to redownload.

Not yet, but I know how to fix it. I'll also clean up my mod page as well.

I'm French, so I struggle with English. Is there a mod to get women to stop hitting on me, especially Laezel and Minthara? Only platonic dialogue

Yeah. They want to make sure, ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN, you know Patch 6 is all about lesbians kissing.

I hate these people.

@Crusaderknight20 @orinEsque Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way you split these mods up is where the optional parts are meant to override the main ones, aren't they? Rather than being totally complete and standalone, (So he'd install both, and move the character one lower in the load order so it "overlayers" the standard).
So, the optional mod I have changes the dialogue to be more platonic for male players. Right now, I'm working on putting all the modifications into one package, so you won't need to download platonic lines separately. However, it's currently not possible to include voice modifications in a single package when creating mods.

Yes, you can just download the NoRomVanilla, and the women will stop hitting on you. NoRomVanilla limits romance based on gender.

Oui, vous pouvez simplement télécharger le NoRomVanilla, et les femmes cesseront de vous courtiser. NoRomVanilla limite les romances en fonction du genre.

P.S. (I don't know French, I unfortunately forgot it )

Hi, poking you here to let you know, if you want to do some further translation, here is another one. It only add a few lines to NoAlphabets so it's quick work.

Have yourself a good day. :salute:

Would you mind adding upload dates to the list of sub-mods in the first post of this thread? I'm having considerable trouble tracking when/if updates have taken place. For instance, the ModHQ entry says the mod was last updated on February 25, 2024. The first post in this list does not include upload dates, but the main mod is listed as 2.0. However, the "vanilla" sub-module is listed as 2.5. However, according to BG3MM I currently have version 3.1.0.0 of several modules installed. Without something like a specific upload date for the modules to help me reconcile all this conflicting data, I have absolutely no idea what's happening.

Hello @Crusaderknight20, is your updated noromancevanilla cut out the gale weave scene completely? During the camp celebration, he just thanked me. I did not get the platonic friend weave dialogue scene. I'm playing as a male. Nonetheless, thank you and too @orinEsque for keep your mods up to date. I can't play the game without them. I miss old Larian and DOS2. No LGTV+ bullshit thrown in your face 😔

Will do. Just to clarify, I've encountered an issue with the mod manager. It might display a different version than what I have listed. However, you can disregard that discrepancy. I'll try to ensure it reflects the correct version number while getting the mod to work properly.

As of today, NoRomVanilla, NoRomCelibate, and NoRomPlatonic are all up to date.

Nope, that scene is still there. However, I definitely recommend on getting this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1879

With this mod, you won't miss any camp events, such as the weave scene.

@Crusaderknight20 Would you mind updating the title of this thread with the current version number when you update? I just noticed the version is at 2.5 but the title says 2.0 so I've been using an outdated one (and having issues) for a while now.

After trying this mod for a while, I had to come back again to thank you since it has greatly improved my experience with the game. In the end, did you also post it on the Nexus as Romance Revamped? They seem to do the same thing.

I have a question! And it probably could be answered only by those who've cleared the game.

How much do I lose by NOT romancing anyone? I am not asking in the sense of "oh you will not be able to hold hands, kiss, have sex, etc.", but more like "how much story would I miss by ignoring its existence", which brought me to consider this mod.

I was initially pushed away from the game exactly because I was playing it as I would play my fav Dragon Age and Mass Effect, aka "hello we've just met but I'm really interested in listening to all your backstory and want to become friends with you so please give me a companion quest as soon as you can", meaning I got high approval as soon as possible from everyone, but instead of being friends or giving me a companion quest BG3 cast decided they want to frag me. Which is, ehhh, buy me dinner first?? None of you is hot enough to do it right away anyway, except for maybe Shadowheart - girlie if you were a man I'd have sold myself to you first thing).

Sooo, what do I do? Do I have to clear the game several times, each time picking a different partner (like a dating game), to learn all their stories and be a good lover friend, or I could decline all their flirting and still become someone close to them to learn more about their background? 'Cuz so far I've got the impression that I wouldn't have learned Gale's "attraction" to the Weave if I didn't follow through that embarassing Weave cutscene (sorry sweetie you just not my type, alright? :< You are adorable as a friend, I promise.) OR about Astarion's tatoos if I didn't sleep with him OR how sweet Shadowheart could be in private moments. I swear I didn't have to imply anything with Fenris to drink wine with him and share a moment in DA:2!

There are some personal quests, i can't say they are bad, but they are nothing in comparison to Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

Looks like yes, you can. I didn't try everyone in this game.
