Painkiller is a shit early 00's shooter that was in the vein of that other shit shooter Serious Sam. I never got into either one.
SS was a lot of fun. The level map sizes and the enemy counts led to a unique experience imo. No-one really managed to pull off the thrill of fighting as many enemies at the same time as croteam did, twice. Painkiller was a plodding, slow shooter in comparison.

Serious Sam is for sure better than Painkiller that is no contest.

Man, you really make me miss the good old days. I may have to replay BG1 soon. I just get so depressed when it ends, because there's nothing quite like it. I want a wealth of good CNPCs and themed parties and wilderness exploration again.

ryzen 5600x
works great with 60fps patch
it didn't run that well when I had 2600 few years back
you can probably just play it fine in 30fps fine it's not a big deal imo

though tbh RE2 is pretty easy, and he already finished Leon's scenario with a normal number of saves.
