Starfield - Todd Howard's latest masterpiece

I also have like 200-300 hours in Starfield. I was on NG+2, I think, when I stopped playing. The game is the slopiest Bethesda slop that ever slopped. The only good thing is the LEGO spaceship constructor, on which I spent probably the third of my playtime.
The main quest and the faction storylines are worse than in Skyrim and that's saying a lot, because actually playing through Skyrim's quest lines was what made me drop it completely. The world is more nonsensical than in Skyrim, the gameplay is incredibly boring, the characters are insufferable. And on top of all of that it's full of ugly non-whites everywhere.
There is no way in hell that some DLC is going to save Slopfield.

Of the 80 hours I played, easily 50 were two things:
1) Figuring out how suit and weapon modifiers worked.
2) Figuring out how ship modules worked very badly.

I never even made it to two of the three "cities".
I was disappointed by the tiny, ridiculous settlements on Mars and Titan.

Starfield DLC thoughts: It's $30 for a 6 hour campaign and a handful of side quests and dungeons. What a joke. The story is just awful. It pretends to portray a nuanced view on religion (Va'Ruun is clearly supposed to be a stand-in for Islam, though it also bears some similarities to another Abrahamic religion ), in reality it comes across as an Atheist Redditor's view of the Middle East. 99% of Va'Ruun's members are "Zealots" AKA the guys you were killing throughout the main game. The dudes you meet here are totally cool though, they just force you to convert to their religion before you can start the main quest and it turns out their former leader was an evil scientist who wanted to use a ghost army to start another holy Crusade and kill all the non-believers.

As you might expect, there's virtually zero player choice in the story. Even at the end, when it looks like you can side with the bad guy, he betrays you five minutes later. Then you get a choice to let him win. Instead of getting a unique bad ending, the game just kills you and loads the last save. Bethesda is so incompetent and lazy it's unreal. There's one last choice in the epilogue where you choose the next leader, which is completely pointless. You do get to piss them off to the point where you're never allowed to return, but they're all essential NPCs so you can't kill them.

The game still runs horribly after a year of patches. There's still no dungeon maps, a feature that was in several of their previous games. The enemies are all bullet sponges. There's still no white men in space, except a couple of your companions. Every named NPC is essential except for a couple of lesbians and their 30 year old "daughter".
The only fun thing in this entire game is the car they added in a free update recently. And even then, the gun attached to the car doesn't scale to your level so it's useless in combat.

Tl;Dr The game is still terrible, and always will be. Don't waste $30 on an expansion that adds nothing of value and only has 10 hours of content max."

Elder Scrolls 6 is looking to be a complete shit show.

Yeah, I am more looking forward to Skyblivion and Skywind (if it that ever comes out). Wouldnt be surprised tho if microsoft sends a cease and desist shortly before it releases.

They've already been cleared. They had to follow strict guidelines re: proprietary asset use (mainly VO) but they fall within the TOS as written.

Which shows again how stupid Microsoft let alone Bethesda is, there is zero point in stopping projects like this.They would just make additional cash by having people buy Oblivion/Morrowind cause they are required for this mods to run in the first place.They just prolonged this projects to death by forcing them to remake every single asset

The HQ Vault is a very good file host. It's also convenient to use with automatic formatting.
Sure, it takes a couple more clicks, but it doesn't behave inconsistently and it shows up for everybody, unlike the PostImages.
