COLONY SHIP, the new game from superman development team IRON TOWER STUDIOS is releasing officially on November 9th. COLONY SHIP is the wildly anticipated follow-up to the renowned CRPG classic THE AGE OF DECADENCE, considered by experts to be one of the best CRPGs of all time and certainly the greatest CRPG released in the 2010s era, and DUNGEON RATS, the ruthlessly difficult small scale combat focused expansion to THE AGE OF DECADENCE that only the most intelligent and handsome gamers were able to complete on the highest difficulty.The hardest update of the year is done and we can finally focus on the endgame events. We need about 3 weeks to wrap it up, the level design and most writing is already done, so we're confident enough to announce the release date - Nov 9.
The game was in development since Jan 2017, so it's been almost 7 years, which is quite a journey. We would have never made it this far without players willing to support us and help us make a better game. Thank you.
COLONY SHIP departs from the post-apocalyptic fantasy setting of THE AGE OF DECADENCE for a science fiction space ship setting, but keeps the previous title's gameplay framework focused on relatively short length playthroughs combined with ultra high re-playability in the form of innumerous branching story paths and high player-character build variety. COLONY SHIP builds on and improves the beloved combat system of AGE OF DECADENCE by introducing companions and party-based combat; IRON TOWER STUDIOS having previous shown their adept handling of such systems on a smaller scale in DUNGEON RATS, experts are confident that the combat in COLONY SHIP will set a new and exciting standard for CRPGs.
