okay but renaming body types to female type 1/2 seems more doable
along with maybe disabling facial hair option when those are selected
i figure if u can remove the binary/non binary options, then other options are removable and binary operations may be able to determine that
cool stuff to hear how all this works, demystifies it a bit
Like I said, renaming Body Types is probably a Localization issue. You'd just need to find the relevant line in the loc file and change it.

Only because game devs and writers are too thick to account for you being nice to someone without wanting to **** them.

And now for the homerun...
How difficult is it to add additional body types?
IE: more feminized or masculine ones?
Ah! And 1 more!
Replace "body type" with
Male 1/2
Female 1/2
?
More body types would require experience with blender - and then you’d need to change all of the clothing/armor too. It’s why so many of the body mods on Nexus say “not compatible with armor” or include a limited selection of outfits that work with the body mod.
The latter issue is just one of localization, I assume.

Impossible because each body has animation associated with it. Altering existing body is possible but like Chris said, you have to go editing every single piece of armour. Might as well develop your own game at that point.
Body type 1-4 are not Localization. They are images. I haven't been able to find them in the pak files. Haven't done an exhaustive look. But there is get little space there too put F ,FS , M and MS

It's the degenerate mindset. It's not just "playersexualism". It reminds me of the time I played a female bard or whatever in Kingmaker, and after the party gets kidnapped I run into Soysiel and have my character exclaim something to the effect of "Soysiel, thank the gods you're OK!" and it turns out that the game immediately tried to flag a romance flag on me, after which Soysiel essentially goes
"Uuh, I only **** men, OK?".
You can't express any kind of closeness or affection without it immediately being sexual in the minds of these ******* weirdos.

We're back to the age old question: Are Italians white?
The changes I've made mostly affect NPCs with dark brown skintones.
It applies to Elves, halflings, gnomes and dwarves too, for example. Yes, I'm even strict on Gold dwarves in the sword coast.
Yeah, I'd be strict on them, but gold dwarves *are* gold dwarves, and should be brow-ish and gold-y, for the same reason why drow should be black. We might question why they are where they are in the numbers that they are, much the same as I think that the idea of meaningful amounts of "good drow" is ******** and I hate tieflings coming out of the *** everywhere with a passion, but those are larger setting concerns.
By all means, eliminate every actually black gold dwarf, and disintegrate every brown shield dwarf, but keep gold dwarves gold dwarf-y.
Also, create your own thread so we don't have to go digging through this thread for potential updates.
And Sniper, you might as well update the OP of this thread with Orin's proper modfile version, whether you intend to keep working on it or not. It will be easier for people to find and work with if they want to.

Just do what I did and make all the companions women….. the ai voices exist as does the ability to change their appearance. If I could mod like some of yall I’d change the pronouns

and be set. The actual romance with gale (now Abigail) and wyll (now a hot Asian chick named willow) come across like they were written to be women anyway. Crazy what AI can do with voices but makes the game more enjoyable since all of the flirt with your character anyway regardless of gender. Sad there’s no bros but my character just has a harem now instead.
Hey that's actually pretty clever ... What do you mean AI voices ?

I had a bug yesterday with patch 5 version, where I had to delete modfixer because apparently the newest scriptextender has that built in and you dont need that anymore if scriptextender is in the gamefolder. The bug was that I could not do dice checks.

Question for
@SniperChris and
@orinEsque :
I have installed No Alphabets 2.3, and the FAQ there says to use the minimalist version of this mod because this one is out of date. I think I have seen Chris say to use the minimalist mod for some reason somewhere?
Long story short, I'm confused. Do I use the Minimalist version of BBA on the No Alphabets mod page, or this one on this thread?
Thanks!

I'm not who you asked but I think I can answer that:
The minimalist version (on the first page of this thread) is identical to the minimalist version on the No Alphabets front page. You can use either.
The problem with the classic version of BBA is that it overwrites all files, even the ones where nothing was changed. This can cause problems when patches change things (like the floating cat head problem we had reported).

I believe SniperChris added a description on his page:
1. Old version = replaces all visuals even those that he didn't change. So when a patch comes out, many NPCs are standing around without heads.
2. Minimalist version = removes all unnecessary NPC data. So this is a BUG FREE version of the old version
3. Albert's (whiter version) = Builds on Minimalist by changing a lot more NPCs. Also should be BUG FREE
