Accessibility was the first time I noticed trends were mandated. Accessible was the 2000s buzzword for inclusive.

IIRC, they're required to implement TTS or somesuch if the game has text chat.

It became that way and went the route of "anyone should be able to play anything". But it started out as things like accounting for things like color-blindness or reduced vision. And you didn't even have to do much other than make sure it could work with 3rd party tools like screen readers or assistive technology that the person would have already had. Now, it includes "neurodiversity". :barf:
