I don't think it's a hot take to say that uploading someone else's content on a different site without their permission, claiming it's your own work and not giving proper credit to the actual creator is a bad thing. But maybe you're just THAT detached from reality lol.
Apologies monsieur, but wivout zee, 'ow you say, formal DMCA complaint, zerr is nothing ouie can do.

Hello this is my mod, that I made. Please take it down, you did not contact me the proper way.
Although he could have put a few more text lines on this page to more clearly specify the author (do that @loregamer), he's directly linked to you on Nexus, (and then put work in to tweak it himself to work with the current patch).
He's clearly not claiming ownership of your work. What more do you want?

Did you ask Larian programmers if you could modify their code?

To be more on topic now that the **** have been scared off I appreciate @loregamer taking the time to update and post a mod that the mod author had clearly abandoned with no intention of actually fixing it after 4 months. The fact he only got off his *** and fixed his **** because he's so petty someone might click a download link on a different website is peak narcissism.

Checking the nexus mod, it appears to not be updated. In fact, there's a bug marked WONTFIX.

Because it's standard good practice dipshit, and renders ANY complaints impotent.
Better ModHQ be seen as a serious modding site.

For evidence purposes.
OAuthor abandoned the mod. Had open usage permissions. Loregamer followed rules. Author comes screaming for takedown. Nope. Not putting up with this nonsense. This is anti-modder behaviour and should be stomped out.

I'm glad that author had enough in him to just set mod into hidden status, instead of coming here, screaming ownership and demanding takedown, while he gets the download of Lore's fix (and complete rework of code tbh) and proceeds to quietly upload not his fix to nexus.

I was gunna say that I was surprised they didn't do that, but then again, clearly not the brightest.

They are narcissists. If he cared about fixing the mod he would have done that. He just wanted to throw his weight around and brow beat someone into doing what he says so he can feel special about adding a trash can into a video game.

In regards to the Messagebox issue, check this Github issue for a solution. I implemented something similar for this version of the mod. Feel free to unpack the mod and take a look at it! Just a warning about this bit of code, though:
Image

Before, if you called OpenMessageBox a million times, it would stack a million different messageboxes on top of each other that you had to confirm for each one. But with the way we have to do messageboxes now, calling ReadyCheckSpecific won't stack on top of each other. You can only have one messagebox on the screen at a time, I think. That's why I changed the mod to not open a messagebox per item and just a general "Do you want to trash these items?" message. If you wanted to keep the original functionality, you'd probably have to do something hacky. I changed the mod to insert each item you're putting into the trashcan into a table:
Image

And then when we check for ReadyCheckPassed, I request to delete them individually. Otherwise, it clears out the table:
Image

Anyway that's all I did to update it. Get to work! :pirate:

And some parting words:

If you're from UK you could file a lawsuit against Nexus, at least I'd bet UK doesn't let enterprises host defamatory content, and Nexus is hosting somebody wrongfully accusing you of being a thief.

The obvious solution here is everytime we catalogue or update a mod someone has made before, we add the words '******' or '******' or the phrase 'total ****** death' into one of the files, in such a way that it does not impact the game, but leaves an indelible stain.

I've never understood it myself anyway, all the mods I ever made were just free to do whatever people wanted with them. What's so important about freely shared content that you have to throw a temper tantrum that someone is using it?
