I wish there was an easy way to transfer my starting army over with Imrik to Ulthuan.
This isn't relevant to your situation, but TWW3 added a special mechanic for the Golden Order faction about a year ago that does that. When Balthasar Gelt finishes dealing with some rebels in his 'what the hell are you doing spawning on the other side of the planet' starting region, he gets a special event that gives him the option to hand over all his territory to its rightful (lore) owner and return (instantly teleport) to the Empire with all his armies and a big pile of gold and buffs.

This proved to be a popular enough feature that there was talk of implementing it for more factions that start in lore-questionable areas, although there hasn't been any official confirmation of anything.

I know they've done that for a few other Lords, but i'm glad they've done that for Gelt, that's neat

Might give him a try sometime knowing i don't have to be stuck in chinkland

On another note the 'Sea Lanes' thing implemented in 3 is another means of going across the map. Pretty sure there's one somewhat near Imrik's area that takes you towards Naggaroth and Ulthuan, although it would take a while to sail to and from the teleport points, and the teleport itself takes several turns.

Watch out for Isabella once you get back to the Empire. There is a reason why Gelt went to asia in the first place.

Tried to start TW: Warhammer III but it does not play nicely with 30 series cards for some reason so went back to TW: Warhammer II. Enjoying it a lot more than I did before even if the factions are a little stale for my liking.

Pretty sure the next time I load up I'll have forgotten what I was doing and give up.

My favorite game of Total Warhammer was colonizing Lustria as the Huntsmarshall and BTFOing the Croc Guy. It got to the point of me using essentially Napoleonic Armies against Lizard Savages using Clubs. A+ would colonize again. Although could we please put the Huntsmarshall in a different outfit? I think he’d die of heatstroke if he actually wore that to Not!South America.

other way round really, he SHOULD be hunting beastmen n **** up in the Drakwald forest, or maybe around Troll Country, Norsca, etc, but they plopped a hunter clad in furs in a fuckin jungle for muh 'start position variety' lol

i get why they did it though, he was DLC for game 2 so they had to put him somewhere in the New World so he can be used in the vortex campaign, but i feel like somewhere in Naggaroth would've been more suitable

Have you not tried every race? I think I might try Lizardmen or Skaven after this campaign. High Elf archers are so powerful though.

I've tried most races, but never High Elves, Wood Elves, ******, Vampire Coast (they're cringe), and havent tried Lizardmen or Tomb Kings yet (don't appeal to me all that much)

Faves are probs Chaos, Greenskins and Skaven

I never liked the 'Waaaarrrggghhh' mechanic in Warhammer I but I was still getting used to the game when I tried it. I should revisit them in Warhammer II as it looks like the mechanic has been reworked.

Never tried Chaos.

Ah yeah you're still playing game 2 and not 3, right?

The Greenskin rework in 2 is huge, I tried playing em in game 1 initially as well and the animosity **** tied to the Waaagh! sucks

Chaos in 2 is basically the same as in 1, just a horde faction. the rework in game 3 is so much better, what with having units tied to all the gods, getting daemons, being able to establish fortresses and have proper vassals and shiet, and the unit upgrade system is really neat, allows you to start off with basic marauder boyz and eventually turn them into Chosen.

That said there's a certain level of kino to the way you just blitz through Kislev and the Empire in game 1 and 2, burning down everything and leaving a corrupted hellscape as an apocalyptic horde, even if the mechanics are kinda meh.

Really wish they'd add the rest of the game 1 chaos music to game 3, they added some of the campaign music but not all of em such as this, or any of the battle themes

Loved WH so much in mods like The old World for Bannerlord and Warsword Conquest that brought 3 with Yuan Bo, the Jade Dragon. Lets see if the game will be good.

Yeah, TWWH is a really good series. It's got issues (but who doesn't), but it's definitely one of the better RTS+strategy mix games. For me what did it was the battles themselves, it both scratches the strategy itch with the campaign map, and RTS itch with being to actually command your forces in combat (which was one of my points of contention with games like Civ and CK, where army battles are just abstracted to be a bit of math in the background).

Guys, I was reading about Yuan Bo, the Jade Dragon and am curious about his "power level". He seems to be ludicrous powerful on melee and on magic. If a Bretonnian Malnourished peasant is 0 and Nagash 10, how would you rate his power level?

China or not, a Jade Dragon throwing Jade at the enemies, having cool Celestial Magic, And serving him, animates Jade Statues, gunners, Grenadiers, crossbowman with "repeaters", Dragon-Blooded, Terracotta Sentinel, Celestial Lions, balloon based airforce, multiple rocket based Galloper guns. So many cool stuff. So many cool spells.

I want to play as Tilea, but Tilea is not in the game. Except with mods ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 2927296206 )

Image

And I want to play a lot before modding it.

So, after I finish at least one campaign with Cathay, one with the Empire of Sigmar, one with Mannfred, I will play as a Tilean.

Being very honest, despite having a lot of cool stuff, Cathay fells like a "fanfic faction".
