Let's Watch & Discuss Fallout: The TV series

Post by rusty_shackleford »

And by TV series, I mean movie.

Provide your commentary while/after watching. If you've never seen it before I think you'll enjoy it. See how many references from Fallout you can spot, some are rather obscure.

EDIT:
For context, Fallout drew heavily from this movie(and the book it was based on.)

I thought it was the upcoming ( already?) fallout series.

And I was gonna write a witty comment about how they ruined it by having the lone survivor be a "girl boss".

But this. . . .

This I shall watch for the first time soon!

Hmm, this film is set in 2024. Nice touch, @rusty_shackleford.

Lots of jews pretending to be niggers in the comments. I guess defending jewywood takes precedence over defending isntreal.

Is the story about a woman finding a husband?

Yeah... no. I watched it earlier I think a few episodes, and dear lord it was way too slow. But why bring this up when Netflix is about to release a woke show with a girl boss as the protagonist and a negro BoS?

The dog refers to the protagonist as 'Albert'.

I am so glad others know of this movie! Good to see it around! Love the ending, the fate that would realistically befall the "stoic stronk wahmxn" that "carry" the many shows these days that I noticed and are always "right" and the "key to everything"
As for references, it has been a while since I saw it, and my memory can be all over the place, but here are some I recall at the top of my head (though I am sure I will recall more right after finishing typing)

It also reminds me of another movie that, though, I recall too little of to really say the comparison is right or not for the underground bit called Society. Careful if you google it. I swear there was another movie that was set in much the same setting, but I cannot recall anything at present.

So the book this is based on was written by the same author as "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream"... Well despite that with a title like "A Boy and His Dog" I'm sure that it will be an uplifting film.

Well, I finished it:
I did find the relationship between Vic and Blood interesting but overall the film was too sleazy for my taste. The plot point with the other dog at (1:04:27) was odd, I thought it was going to go somewhere but it was never mentioned again. Did I miss something there?

As for the ending...

It wasn't to my taste.

more like guy finding vagina so unsufferable he choose to butcher vag to feed his dog when resources got tight in mad max like scenario.

morals from movie;
1)mommy forgot to teach vag to worshipp cock properly, so tragic.
2)if u looking for love get a dog not vagina as one jewtuber said.

Double you tea eff.

That was my reaction lol.

Everyone says the downunder is vaults. . . i think it's the institute.

They spy on surface world people, kidnap whom they choose, have synths at their control, and all the science to live underground.

Not vault-like at all, but definitely the institute.

(((Harlan Ellison))) is most famous for writing 60s era Star Trek episodes.

Imagine a Boy and his Dog as a Star Trek episode. That's not difficult. Because that's basically what it is.

Oh the Netflix Fallout series? I'm not watching that.

Not worth my time.
