what do you mean, they were full weed from the start with Sleep. anyway he still plays a mean bass live so i can't really knock him down

I mean when they mostly abandoned their grittier sound for a much more meditative sound

yeah true. though my favorite om album has to be god is good, which is where they started with the meditative stuff. i just feel its done more elegantly than in advaitic songs.

Om lost its uniquely loose momentum that made its earlier albums good when Chris Hakius left the band. I enjoyed God Is Good, but I don't remember anything good about Advaitic Songs though I listened to it many times years ago.
