I remember when I was doing tech support via IM being able to hit 160+. I use a Japanese-layout mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Silent Reds.

It kept sending me straight to the stats screen partway through and I couldn't figure out why until I realized that 'master' means no mistakes allowed.

i got this on expert punctuation 50 words but i don't like how it reloads the same words. this was my 2nd run, and familiarity makes it way easier. should load different stuff for better testing.

That is very interesting. I am self-taught, but I type like the first picture-video-thing (gif? lel, keeping what I just typed to laugh at it later), only difference is that I keep the pinkies and thumbs as if I was playing the piano (wide apart, span I think it's called in English). Never realized! Fascinating to see, I usually only stare at the screen when I type. Is it usual for people to raise their thumbs like that when self-taught typing?
