what do you mean, they were full weed from the start with Sleep. anyway he still plays a mean bass live so i can't really knock him down
I mean when they mostly abandoned their grittier sound for a much more meditative soundSiMtRy wrote: ↑ November 12th, 2023, 15:25what do you mean, they were full weed from the start with Sleep. anyway he still plays a mean bass live so i can't really knock him down

yeah true. though my favorite om album has to be god is good, which is where they started with the meditative stuff. i just feel its done more elegantly than in advaitic songs.
Om lost its uniquely loose momentum that made its earlier albums good when Chris Hakius left the band. I enjoyed God Is Good, but I don't remember anything good about Advaitic Songs though I listened to it many times years ago.

Not my jam, but feel free to post it here. There are some power metal bands I enjoy, like Alestorm, if that counts.J1M wrote: ↑ March 23rd, 2024, 18:09What do metal fans think of "power metal"?

Power metal has too much cheese for me generally but some of it is nice.

Furia has not had a bad release, ever. Some better than others but very consistent.
