I've found some good loot in them. Chests often have equipment that can be sold or recycled into materials at least. These magic cards aren't cheap.Tangerine wrote: ↑ April 9th, 2026, 03:10So many chests and containers, but most of the loot is garbage.

Holy **** the settings menu doesn't work at all. Bad omen!
I forgot this game has proto-Lae'zel, we're so back

Well now that you mention it, while I like blur and bloom, I did notice that Depth of Field was still on despite being disabled in the optionsJ1M wrote: ↑ April 10th, 2026, 20:19It still ignores certain settings, like blur and bloom.Valter wrote: ↑ April 10th, 2026, 20:01gotta use the directional keys to change settings, a subtle nod to the fact you're going directionless inside sprawling catacombsOyster Sauce wrote: ↑ April 10th, 2026, 19:11Holy **** the settings menu doesn't work at all. I like that the pause menu has an option for entering DLC codes and another option to pay real money for skill points and wood
there's no way the inventory is supposed to have this effect, right?

Looked the same for me. Was using a patched version. I assume someone was learning how to shader and it just never got updated before launch.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ April 10th, 2026, 22:58there's no way the inventory is supposed to have this effect, right?

If the camera is facing right or backwards, all of the options menu noises come in through the right channel. Left or forwards it's the left channel.

Pros:
- It looks nicer than TW1
- I liked the savannah section
Cons:
- The biggest loss is the equipment upgrade system from the first game which, while goofy, was at least different. The new system is a resource sink which requires you to disassemble all the equipment you come across to have enough and it really slows the game down.
- Academic China town was annoying to navigate and everything after that felt rushed.
- There's a faction affinity system, but I'm not really sure what it does for me. Better prices maybe? Never dealt with merchants enough for it to be an issue
- The economy is mostly useless. You'll find most of what you need in the field.
- The twist ending where Gandohar is actually a good guy who was manipulated is lame.

Encountered a soft lock in New Ashos when siding with Rhodeus (main quest, Most Monstrous Mind). Door to Rhodeus' room locks for some reason but he is needed for a quest. Solvable with console commands but still unpleasant. Maybe a later version fixes it? I have 1.3.7.
For anyone else rightfully finding inventory management and equipment disassembly a pain in the ***, there's a option in the menu that disables the confimation popups which helps significantly.Tangerine wrote: ↑ April 11th, 2026, 01:37

A savannah is a really strange but beautiful choice. I love when the baboons and cheetahs and ostriches team up. Your eurofantasy game can be set anywhere you want because it's a viddy game.

Final Boss destroyed any love I had for this game, what a terrible way to end the game. But still, the magic was fun...and I could play as a chinaman

Two Worlds 2 is a weird start to the adventurer's guild career so kudos to you. You can now nominate a game for the next month.Zess_T wrote: ↑ April 14th, 2026, 03:45Final Boss destroyed any love I had for this game, what a terrible way to end the game. So it is done. Clocked in 27 hours on a game I unexpectedly had a lot of fun with, despite its many flaws. Though I don't think it's good enough to warrant a replay.

The biggest letdown in this game was how easy it is past the beginning. My guy was mostly squashing enemies in 2-3 hits, it was very unbalanced for a 2-handed warrior. And that was BEFORE the main story giving me a Lv30+20 GIGA MACE OF HELL like 80% into the game. Do mages or rogues get anything that stupidly OP too?
Most of this game's writing was unremarkable, though there was a decent amount of lore to the world. The barebones main story served its purpose of letting you explore the world, and I expected no more as it's just that kinda game. Though there were some interesting side quests, particularly in the Chinatown and Swamp areas. While the Savannah was indeed quite beautiful and had a splendid background OST as you explored it, I found the writing there to be less interesting overall. Though I found the quest about the "workers" that were actually bandits in disguise holding a hostage very funny.
Had most of my fun out of exploration and sidequests, wishing the gameplay was harder so it didn't drag down those two aspects. The skill system was kinda decent for the warrior, but nothing too remarkable. Ended up using the Guard Breaker I've had since day 1 as my main killing tool all game, so the progression wasn't very rewarding there.
