Treasures of the Forgotten Realms 1.0.0.0 β€” Baldur's Gate 3

Overview

Overview
Adds new weapons, armour and clothing ported from various games. I was disappointed with the lack of variation in the base game in terms of visuals.

  • Most armour will be available for regular male and female body types (BT1 & BT2) and strong male (BT4)
  • Armour/clothing will specify if it can be dyed or not
  • I've made an attempt at providing stats, but I'm not the best and balance is difficult. You are welcome to use transmog or unpack the mod and edit the stats
  • All items will have new visuals including icons.
I am open to requests including:
  • Refits for other body types
  • Making armour/outfits dyeable
  • Overriding vanilla assets
  • More immersive ways of obtaining items
These mods are non-VT as there is a know issue with virtual textures (once maxed out this can cause game crashes and missing textures). I recommend you install the following mods:
**Anyone is free to unpack the mod to edit the stats or for use in your own mods.**

Installation Instructions

Installation Instructions
  1. Simply drop the zip files onto the right hand panel of the BG3 Mod Manager.
  2. Once there, drag all the mods to the left hand panel.
  3. Save and export your load order.
Can I install these in the middle of a playthrough?
You can do this. However, the changes will not apply to locations you have already visited, as the static loot lists for them have already been generated.

Q&A

Q&A

Which Patch do these work for?
These only work for Patch 7/8 as these are made with the toolkit.

Will you make a version for previous Patches?
No

How do I get the items?
Items can be obtained from the tutorial chest. I recommend using a tutorial chest summoning mod to avoid issues with carry weight at the start of the game. A more immersive way of obtaining the items is in the works and will be a separate mod.

Does the clothing/armour have physics?
Yes

Can the clothing/armour be dyed?
Yes unless otherwise specified.

I don't like the item stats. Can you change them?
Keeping items balanced, especially added content, is extremely difficult. I recommend using transmog to alter the stats. You are also welcome to unpack the mod and change the stats yourself.

What body types do these work for?
Clothing armour is available for regular male/female and strong male by default. This generally includes Humans, Tieflings, Elves, Half-elves, Drow. If you want refits for Dragonborn, Githyanki or the small races this will be by request. Refits are time consuming and I make no guarantees of refits for other races.

Why aren't they available for all body types automatically?
Reffiting armour/clothing is time consuming. I'm not going to spend time refitting for races that most people don't play.

Will you refit for [insert custom body type]?
No

Did you make these items yourself?
No, these items are ports from various other games.

Will you make a custom model/textures for me?
No you will need to commission other modders.

I want one of the new items to replace the visuals of a vanilla item
You can request overrides of vanilla items, but I make no guarantees of taking requests. You are welcome to unpack the mods and do this yourself.

Can I use these items in my own mod?
Anyone is welcome to unpack the mod for use in their own.

Update

Bahamut set has been added. This includes legendary plate armour, gloves boots and cape for regular male and female body types. Also includes a weapon set including greatsword, longsword, shield, grimoire shield, dagger, hand crossbow, longbow, quarterstaff and spear. New visuals including icons. Cape, hand crossbow and longbow all have physics. Helm glows and the glow colour can also be changed if the dye includes Accent Colour.

Set includes both dyeable and non-dyeable armours (as some detail can be lost when converting to BG3 dyeing system).

As per feedback, this set is not available in the tutorial chest and a more immersive way of obtaining it is available. See below for spoiler.

Something along these lines with different hair variations. I was wearing one just like this when I got thrown out of the Renaissance Festival.

Those look great ! Hate to be a beggar, but It'd be great to have refits for other races as well please. Shame to not be able to equip a Bahamut themed set on a Dragonborn for example. Just in case, you can simplify the refitting process with a Blender addon : https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/ ... ?tab=posts

What races in particular are you interested in? Just Dragonborn? Helms can be very tricky with them but I can give it a shot

Thank you for taking screenshots. I really should add more but that would require me to not be lazy and actually play the game. I'll check the shields again but unfortunately that might be your PC :(

Update

For the Warlock enjoyers

Added a chest containing the Blackstar Set the tutorial chest. Contains dyeable armour (except the helm) and weapons with unique visuals and physics. As usual if you don't like the stats you can transmog the item or you are welcome to unpack the mod and edit. See the main post for downloads. Works for regular male/female body types only. May refit for other races/body types depending on how lazy I'm feeling.

Sorry to trouble you, thanks for the mod. Could you please, in the future, add dates to your "downloads" segment? This way it's easier to figure out what's been updated in this Original Post and I can tell if there's something new to download. Thanks for your consideration.

Good idea I'll add that to the next, very overdue, modhq update.

Overview

Still working on the more traditional armour sets
Hey there! There seems to be a texture issue with the latest armor added. all armor pieces look purely blue and textureless
Image

Edit: FRTreasures Circlets also appear blue for me

Can you update version in title so we can see when there are updates? I get confused by it staying on 1.0.0

Update

Bahamut Set v 1.1.0.4 - Update
  • Now also supports all strong body types, Dragonborn, male dwarves and female githyanki (covers all companions)

Laezel Starting Gear v 1.0.0.6 - New
  • Adds new starting equipment for Laezel as requested by @Tipfy
  • Laezel's Halfplate armour now has pants
  • Laezel now appropriately wields a Githyanki Longsword
  • Cutscene on the nautiloid has been edited so that the Githyanki Longsword is visible
  • Will require a new game for the changes to apply
  • Not compatible with any other mods that alter Laezel's starting equipment or that edit the timeline TUT_LowerDeck_AfterImpFight
Image

Light Armour v 1.0.0.2 - New
  • Adds 4 new pieces of light armour with new visuals and new icons to the tutorial chest
  • Compatible with regular and strong male and female as well as female githyanki (covers companions)
  • Armour has cloth physics
  • Designed as far as possible to be compatible with vanilla boots, gloves and capes
  • All armour is dyeable excluding the Verdant Warden's Raiment due to the level of detail

Medium and Heavy Armour and additional armour sets are currently WIP. Updates should hopefully be clearer going forward.

Big thank you to @Tipfy for testing and edits and @loregamer for fixing the mod page

Enjoy!

Imho, instead of being additional armour sets, why not have the ones you created replace the vanilla ones? I think an overhaul of vanilla armour is in order because of how awful they look, and nobody unironically wears them except for stats. I could see your new light armour sets replace the abysmal-looking vanilla Leather Armours.

If you do, I can't wait to see what you would do for the :yuck: Graceful Cloth :yuck: .

I'm always saying BG3 would be improved if it looked like a korean MMO.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

I'm happy to set up replacers, just let me know which vanilla items you want replaced with what. I'll slowly be adding to the light armour as I get stuff finished. Trying to work through medium and heavy armour as well
