Guild Wars 2

There is a GW1 thread but no GW2 thread as far as I can see.

The game is hyper woke. The entire early Norn story is about another clan(?) which doesn't acknowledge women as strong and all lines your character says HAVE to say you think women are strong. No other options. Impossible to skip if you do the main story.

Does this affect ALL races or just the norn? I bet they did this on purpose with the norn since they're the WHITE nordic race.

Normal human map is full of women in normal male roles, e.g. woodcutters are women - and they wear very feminine uppity clothes like short skirts etc.

The female characters all look hot though. I haven't seen a singular ugly woman, which is very nice. The tits are very perky too. And sizeable. :)

It's a shame to make a GW2 thread and then the first post is just complaining about the wokeness rather than all of its other qualities. I mained Charr, and the wokeness did not become annoyingly heavy until Icebrood Saga/End of Dragons.

ehh, only good thing about the first game is the fact that the charr are savage brutes that just want to kill, making them these noble savages sucked. Gameplay is literally stand around and watch your character do auto attacks while you do a few spells. The active combat system from GW2 is a lot more fun.

GW1 is one of the best games I've played, the starting area alone is better than the entirety of GW2. The amount of stuff to discover there was incredible.
All the areas feel alive with lots of events that can happen, wandering NPCs, enemies fighting each other, etc.,

If you're one of the people that just follows a checklist when playing games then yeah GW1 probably sucks!

I was not aware just how much there was to discover in GW1, I never saw anyone discuss it.

I am not going to reiterate my grievances with GW1, but I did think it was neat being able to run around in a group of 8 characters (+ necromancer pets) and fight a lot of incoming enemy forces. It did feel like you were a unit on an important military mission, going through a dying Kaineng or fighting your way through Elona with an evil army at your heel. Besides Mount & Blade, I can't think of any other 3D Western RPG with a behind the shoulder camera (as opposed to a top down view) that let you run around with that many characters at once. Nightfall also had a centaur party member, which was neat. Centaurs are criminally underused in games.

I deleted my Norn. I couldn't deal with the woke. Apparently it is the wokest questline. :/

I can't stand Asuras. Too annoying.

Normal human feels too borderline woke. A death by a thousand cuts.

Sylvanas or whatever they're called feel like they'd be turbo woke.

I don't like furries but I'll try playing as a Charr.

I wish there was a lively MMO which wasn't woke. :(

Not just that, it's in my all-time Top10.
Before EotN at least.

GW2 is gay, ********, woke slop.

I couldn't take being a furry. The charr map seems very buggy and undertested.

I re-rolled into a Sylvari. I will see how it goes.

All the good GW1 recs make me want to buy it. :(

The Plateau and the Shiverpeaks maps were my favorite of the vanilla game maps.

Are they specific to a race or for all?

You can do any Vanilla zone as any race. It is actually required to achieve Vanilla map completion and get the star next to your character's name.

Charrs aren't furries, they don't look like gay *** pussy weaklings. Even in their nerfed look in GW2 (compared to their very aggressive and demonic design from GW1), they still look good if you don't take the goofy faces and hairstyles. Female charrs with many head options are the actual furry-goon bait.

Sylvaris suck **** and are gay af. Asuras are just asurats, annoying lil *****
Male humans are ok, female humans are overused and look like barbies with the ***** fashion + porcelaine skin and faces like blow-up dolls.
Genuinely the latter one is proof you are a massive gooner with poor taste.

As for the story of GW2, it is absolute trash, the gameplay and game loop are nice however. So personnally, I keep coming back to it as it's still a fun experience.

Also, if we have any fashion slut around here, which set is better (I hesitate between shoulder pieces and gauntlets) ?

I was looking at the combat system differences. GW2 seemed to turn the game into an arcade/action game where the player action response determines block, dodge, etc... while GW1 was more a traditional focus of statistical play where character development and tactical play (decision, not response) was used to determine success.

It makes the games night and day different. Honestly, If I were a big GW1 fan, I would have been ****** when they released GW2 as they complete arcaded the game.

Some people like traditional roll/statistics based game play focusing on character development and progression rather than how fast you can spam your keys.

Guild Wars 3 inc? There is talk it's either that or some new unannounced game set in the same universe, which is pulling alot of manpower and resource towards it
