ironically I think fallout 4 ended up aging far better
I really don't think this is the case. Fallout 4 doesn't have even a fraction of the sheer cultural impact that Skyrim had and even continues to have.
The modding scene is a really good example of this I think. Sure Skyrim is only really good with mods but for a game to have a thriving modding scene there needs to be something there that people are passionate enough to fix in the first place. BG3 wouldn't have so many high effort mods to remove the woke stuff if the base game was awful to play.
Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim get way more big impressive mods made than Fallout 4 does even to this day. It has a moderately sized modding community sure but when you look at the things New Vegas or Skyrim modders do compared to Fallout 4 it's kind of crazy. Someone got genuine car physics to work in New Vegas whilst Fallout 4 just get's it's one millionth tacticool tarkov gun pack mod. Fallout London is the only big total conversion of note the game has. New Vegas and Skyrim have multiple.
yeah but I'm judging them as the game they were sold as
You were commenting on which game aged better. Regardless, my point is that as base games Fallout 4 is the worst. Which having a worse mod scene is further evidence of.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

@rusty_shackleford
Which would you rather replay? Skyrim or Fallout 4?
Keep in mind Fallout 4's intro, voiced protagonist, story twist, 2/3 of the map being empty ocean or the glowing sea, garbage collecting focus, FPS killing cities and unaltered gameplay.

Interesting idea.

Imagine how the ******* now at Bethesda will **** up Kirkbride's idea.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

Fallout 4's only benefit over the looter shooters its copying is its world and story and both are atrocious.
A dozen games do its gunplay better without roping you into awful stories.
Even 76 is better than 4 because it's more honest about what it is. At least before the post Wastelander updates.

What if all video game players around the world deleted every Elder Scrolls game from their hard drives forever? That would be kind of like destroying reality, too.

I'd trade having a stroke for the ability to freshly replay all good games again like it was the first time. The deal is good, its worth the downsides.

I'd consider it pure cruelty to subject someone to discovering how much Skyrim ******* sucks again.

I can smell ES6 on the wind... it smells like India at high noon on the hottest day in summer, on the ******** street after everyone had a big vindaloo lunch.

I asked him what it would take to build Oblivion today.I will never forget his answer… 'We can’t, we don’t know how to do it.'

Todd, the destiny of ultima successors lies in your hands. No, the destiny of all games. You must make Skyrim 2.
