Tried it out after stumbling across this thread. The game is a solodev hobby project so there's a fair bit of jank.

There are ~200 accounts logged in at any given time, ~60 of which are active players, ~40 alts, and ~100 bots, spread across 2 servers. Email isn't required to make an account which exacerbates the bot problem, but pmods are actively tracking botters and will be deputized with ban powers soon (allegedly).

One of the servers crashed a couple days ago and hasn't been reset yet. The accounts on this server didn't disconnect properly and remain trapped in digital purgatory. This was less frustrating and more amusing than it sounds

The game is surprisingly well-designed. Each skill and item has a purpose and the world rewards exploration. Overall, a good way to scratch the Runescape itch without giving Fagex your time/money.

So is "runescape classic inspired" just a fancy way of saying "really ugly"?
