Are you a modder looking to host your mod?

Post by rusty_shackleford »

RPGHQ has a service — The Vault — for hosting files. If you are interested in having somewhere to host your mod, please ask for an invite here: viewtopic.php?t=816-hq-vault
You are free to share the links to uploaded files wherever you want, HQ does not want to restrict creativity by locking download links to our forum.

Do you have any policy on Mod Deletion?
Will you allow modders to take their mods down at anytime? Do they have to prove they are the rightful owner?

Can we reupload a mod that a modder asked to be taken down?

Delete all mods and ban all modders

Modding is cope, if the vanilla version is unplayable the game is not worth playing in the first place

Mods are cool and fun. (I mean the game kind, not the forum kind.)
Tears unnumbered ye shall shed; and the Valar will fence Valinor against you, and shut you out, so that not even the echo of your lamentation shall pass over the mountains.

yes

modders typically don't "own" the mods they make, they're derivative works. Unless they can show me proof they actually received permission from the IP owner. This might upset some modders, but it's the truth. Modders love to tag their work with "OC donut steel", I strongly suggest the alternative: license your work as GPL. Modding works best as a community effort.

This is true, but it doesn't mean that mods cannot make things better.

You probably know old Wyre, altho he was a filthy python dev you should be familiar with his contribution to TES modding. I always loved his analogy, modding is a joint effort to build a cathedral.

The +NIGGER license has recently come to my attention. It is not a license unto itself, but a license modifier.
https://plusnigger.org/
Why?
By including the word "NIGGER" in a LICENSE file that must be distributed with the software you will ensure:
The software will not be used or hosted by western corporations that promote censorship
The software will not be used or hosted by compromised individuals that promote censorship
Users of the software will be immune to attacks that would result in censorship of others
To amend my previous statement, I suggest publishing your mods with a GPL+NIGGER license.

i may try it after/if futalab site will delete my straight, well trained vagina fuckmeat follower wip mod thread. havent made thread yet as i havent composed preview videos yet, i should do it next week.

but i already did 15 pages long instruction how to install and guide to operate etc.
i think that should be my monetization angle. i will upload all files but average nigger wont be able to install it properly so i will charge for assistance.
