I finished this game last year, using gamecube emulator. It was really good, more so because it did a good job in making a FP version of a metroid game. Still, I avoid every remake and remaster so I'll not even touch this shit.

I strongly disagree; the game actually looked quite good on release and even looks good now.
Which means, of course, that there is no need for a remaster. Not even touching on the fact every remaster has been awful.

The art direction was boring. Compared to Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner which was released a few months later, back then Metroid looked like a game for little kids.
