Almost every woman in Dark Souls can be killed and/or driven insane. The only one that 100% cannot be is the Undead Female Merchant, which looks absolutely ghastly, and is locked behind bars.

The only option they might have is Sieglinde. But the only reason she's not a failure or dies, is because all she does is look for her father, and all the work is done by the Chosen Undead.

You haven't been paying attention bud. Screenwriters don't give a shit about the lore or the game. They will take the name and run it into the ground with The Agenda™.

This is a bad choice to attempt to adapt into a movie the way the narrative was conveyed isn't going to work.

Also I do not believe they have the skill to pull it off.

If they had ballz the would have gone with a full fledged movie theater release. Buy ticket, sit in a dark room, movie immediately opens up with the words 'git gud' and the DS death sound, lights on once again. It's over.

Hard to imagine a greater gulf in style and tone between the source material and the probable adaptation than these two.

Dark Souls' overall story is a typical anime "medieval" fantasy story, scrambled to appear esoteric. If the anime adaptation is anything like Castlevania, then the gulf wouldn't be too great.
