Been playing this lately. It's pretty fun if a little basic at least at the point I'm at. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and I like the music a lot. So far the only major gripe I have is that the side quests seem really basic and boring with not much in the way of reward.

Similar how I felt with Nier Automata. A charming world with not much going on for the combat and a lot of downtime in-between fights.

This is a Taro troll. If you're role-playing you should be absolutely concerned with your sister and not at all on these side tasks, so the sidequests are purposely bad. He wanted completionists to feel miserable.

The game is quite bad at explaining mechanics to you. The fishing mini game went basically entirely unexplained and when I failed twice the game just did a time skip and gave me the item anyway. I wanted to actually learn how it worked though so I kept trying. All it tells you is to move your body when the fish bites but doesn't explain that the timing is entirely based around when the controller vibrates and that you need to immediately pull the stick back when that happens.

Forest of Myth is beginning to filter me. Whether it's some pretentious experimentation or budget issues the game suddenly turning into a literal novel where you just read text on a black background isn't exactly what I play a video game for.
