TES Oblivion Remastered

Post by Yankee Zulu »

Rumors have been circulating for a while now. Several sources confirmed its real. Some say itll drop this month.

The long-rumored remake of Bethesda's popular 2006 RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion continues to come into focus. Reporter Jeff Grubb of GameSpot sister site Giant Bomb offered an update on the project today during GameBreaking News, saying he expects the game to release soon.

In fact, Grubb said he expects Bethesda to shadowdrop the game "at any moment this month." That means Bethesda would announce and release the game at or around the same time, it appears.

This tracks with previous rumors and reports that said Bethesda might announce and release the game close together, at some point in April. An earlier report said Bethesda was considering a June launch.

Why a UE5 remake when they could just port stuff over to Skyrim and make an official skyblivion? Or is that not as easy?

I've had a hard time believing they'd just shadowdrop an Oblivion remake

A few reliable leakers confirmed it's coming soon. The very existance was confirmed in the court documents. This is an old article though.

A remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is heavily rumoured to be in development at Virtous, an external studio that specialises in remasters and ports. The rumour first emerged in a leak by a former Virtous employee, and was confirmed to exist in court documents relating to the Federal Trade Commission's case opposing Microsoft's acquisition of Activision-Blizzard.

A reliable leaker named NateTheHate added more fuel to the fire, saying that the remaster had grown into a full remake and could be released in June, or even sooner. The remake remains unannounced, but it looks likely that we'll be receiving it before 2025 is through.

I believe this rumour because Microsoft and Bethesda are really dumb enough to greenlight something like this.

Where is the Oblivion remake? This question has been on the lips and in the hearts of many a fan of the Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, who expected at least an announcement of the rumoured remake by now.

The rumour mill has been in a constant turn since court documents for the Federal Trade Commission's unsuccessful challenge to Microsoft's acquisition of Activision-Blizzard mentioned the existence of a remake of Oblivion.

I don't get why these rumors get credence when Morrowind's still got no remake. Was it not highly popular as well? Would Bethesda not prioritize that one over Oblivion?

If it's true, then it will be another woke remake that nobody should pay attention to.

I think even they know they can't afford to remake a game JUST for trannies.

The tricknology required to remake Oblivion is lost for all time. Todd destroyed it, so that evil's victory may be delayed long enough for a successor to emerge.
