Do you think they'll corrupt Kingdom Come 2?

For discussing role-playing video games, you know, the ones with combat.

Note: you may think it may be ruined by other problems, but I'm most interested in if modern day social nonsense will be injected into the game.

Also, you can vote for up to four options (I assume the last four together, but we'll see what the people here come up with for justifying "they won't" with the other options as well).

If the game takes place during the Hussite wars, then there's 100% gonna be anti-Christian narratives. Technically both sides of the conflict were Christian, but since it's 2024 we can assume that the Catholics are going to be portrayed as fat, corrupt and fascist fanatics, while the followers of Jan Hus are going to have worldviews similar to modern liberals.

Istvan, the main antagonist of the first KCD game, was a gay Hungarian nobleman. If the devs choose to bring him back, then we can also see them trying to make him less of a villain and more of a morally grey character. "it's not so simple, i'm only acting this way because I was bullied by the chuds". KCD already did this, one of the novices you can encounter during the monastery quest is gay.

First game already slipped in plenty of modernist subversion. 6 more years of culture war overton window shift, ESG, and being owned by embracer will not improve that situation.

That's what worries me. Care to guess what the major problem might be?

You mean like how it will manifest in game? They'll sprinkle in some "ebul catholic church is bad for enforcing rules and standards n shiet" and probably have some wholesome chunguses whether that be a darkie, woman, or sexual minority.

Other: more mudslime shit, paganism and heresies, maybe even a community of "oppressed kikes".
Witchcraft, sorcery, etc. Scratch the last part that would actually be cool.

I remember one of the devs for kcd saying the reason it wasn't set in a city was because they didn't want to make a pogrom simulator
can't wait for kcd2!

There will be a friendly brown mercenary/merchant character who helps you out and is a really cool guy you can get drunk with. I stake a week long ban on this.

Which would not be too far of the mark, the Hussite basically invented Socialism.
