The combat looks a bit funny with the kiting, but I like the atmosphere

I hate this combat style.
Why do I need to frantically click to make my guys swing weapons at an enemy in front?
The old D&D CRPGs like Menzobranazzan had a similar but better system whereby you pressed the attack key and everyone that could attack at that moment did.
