Deux Ex + Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption

The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly - killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control.
Before your fall, you led a crusade against evil. Now you've become one of the undead creatures you once battled - a Vampire. Inhabiting the World of Darkness, you must face a series of brutal confrontations with your nemesis Vukodlak, a powerful vampire lord.

Your unholy showdown begins in medieval Europe and rages on into the modern day, as you track a soulless enemy in an eternal struggle to destroy him. For this is the only hope of vengeance for your tortured immortality.

Should I vote even if I probably won't be able to participate? I personally would abstain, but not sure what to do.

(If my vote doesn't count for any reason do feel free to disregard it)
Best of luck to everyone on whatever game will win this month once more!
Also, did not see there was a Hall of Champions screens thing, it's such a nostalgic trip, such a beautful thing! Especially the Knights of the Old Republic screens where the whole party is there from gerey and Val. I so hope there will be more games like that in the future. I miss heroes.

I like how all the people who don't ever play games in these polls are all voting for the same game.

If IWD2 wins (unlikely), I'd recommend using the EE mod, even if just for the bugfixes.

I did not ever notice issues when I played through the game (original and no mods), are the bugs introduced in the EE or is it fixing things from the original itself?

The core component fixes some original engine bugs. For instance, hide and move silently were coded incorrectly so that putting points into it made you worse at it! Load times are much faster, widescreen is built in, it fixes fog-of-war that some people have problems with.

It has options for revising classes, enemies, and items.
  • The class revision can be hit or miss. It definitely makes some of the weaker IWD2 classes better, like paladin and ranger, but is a big change from the original. In fact I'd say there are no "bad" classes now.
  • I recommend revised enemies since it gives enemies better special abilities and magic users are more reactive to what your party is doing.
  • Item revisions is probably the most controversial. In the original, most magic items were +1. Now there are many, many more (and better) items added to the random drop tables. But a few of them are also severely OP or just kind of dumb. I think this component also adds new spells.
It also has a component to make sneak attack work for all eligible attacks instead of only once every 4 rounds. And makes SA work with ranged weapons (something I wanted in IWD2).

No fucking way, this explains so much for the thief I made where I could no longer even sneak and the ranger that had shit was better at it. Will definetly play it with the settings you recommended, and hold it off until I can play it together here, thank you Acrux!
Will probably also hold off on the item module myself just because I don't trust modders with adding items, but that one for the enemies is thrilling, hope they added something to the orc shamans, loved to attack those guys.

I've mentioned that I could never get into IWD2 because of the ruleset. I'm glad I never did as that stealth bug would be something I'd consider to be game breaking. Perhaps it's about time to give the EE version a try though. Just how pozzed is it?

EDIT: I just found the https://rpghq.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=51260-icewind-dale-2-enhanced-edition-open-source-community#p51260, never mind. Also thanks to @Acrux for mentioning it here.
