Missed a parentheses on the end if you copied it already, fixed it.

I haven't seen any ads yet.
You'll get a popup telling you to turn your adblock off.

Changes like these are rolled out in waves to boil the frog and avoid too much opposition at one time.

I hate youtube, but what's the alternative? They have all the music.

I'm shocked they didn't try this years earlier, ads are how they make their money after all.

They should've implemented this about 15 years ago. It's just proof they really have no idea what they're doing, and that it's a propaganda machine.

I hate being tied to music at all, but I hate that shitty music is playing everywhere, now. Cities are streaming music from nooks and crannies, assaulting all my senses.

I don't use bitTorrent for discovering music.

I actually find that DDL sites are the best place to get music these days, but I have, erm, eclectic tastes. You can see a sample here: https://www.last.fm/user/Randall_Danger

Brave browser sometimes glitches out on a YouTube page with the new code, it will go dark grey and freeze. I assume when it would normally show the pop-up.

Haven't tried with Chrome.

Gonna test now without the "brave shield" and just uBlock + rusty code.

Soulseek.. now there's a name I have not heard for a long time. A long time.

It was as if I was blasted back 20 years in a flash. Before the mass surveillance state, before the new monetary theory.

Before the GAE.

Holy fuck eat a dick youtube

can't save Cadillacs and Dinosaurs Episode 1 to my "watch later" list because it's "made for kids"

Nah, Brave/YouTube still 'freezes' with the rusty code. It's very sporadic though, it doesn't do it every time the ad-block pop-up would otherwise appear, instead it freezes about once every 20 videos or so. Hitting F5 fixes it.

My favorite thing about youtube is channels with 4 thousand subs that do not have their own gay ads in their channel on top of the other ads you have to block.

That's creepy, some kind of strange reverse age gate.

From the sound of it they are using "Save to playlist and Save to Watch Later" as part of their data mining, which is one more reason not to use that 'feature'.

Seems I can just click the popup away?

Where would I put that code in Brave anyway?

Is this only on brave browser?

Ublock Origin still works on firefox. Or maybe it's the combination with youtube unlocker that stops ad warnings?

Think of how big the modding community will get if they succeed with adblockblock.

Any of the good ones are completely undetectable.

I just close the browser tab when I see the popup. Youtube needs me to watch videos more than I need to be distracted. Seems to work. Only saw popups twice. Maybe I fell into a bucket of users that don't know how to read or something.

I've just recently started seeing the pop-up using Brave + uBlock Origin.

i reinstalled Brave and the uBlock Origin extension and removed every other filter except the rusty code and now it seems to work fine. Haven't had a youtube page freeze yet and been using it all day.

nah, still freezes. gonna look around for an alternative

I used adblock plus then switched to adnauseam then switched to ublock origin, all eventually failed. Freetube still works though.
